      <verse number='1'>In the <strongs number="7969">third</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of the <strongs number="4438">reign</strongs>of <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1112">Belshazzar</strongs>a <strongs number="2377">vision</strongs><strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, <em> even </em><em> unto </em><strongs number="589">me</strongs><strongs number="1840">Daniel</strongs>, after <strongs number="310">that</strongs>which <strongs number="7200">appeared</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me at the <strongs number="8462">first</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And I <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>in a <strongs number="2377">vision</strongs>; and it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when I <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>, that <strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> was </em>at <strongs number="7800">Shushan</strongs><em> in </em>the <strongs number="1002">palace</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="4082">province</strongs>of <strongs number="5867">Elam</strongs>; and I <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>in a <strongs number="2377">vision</strongs>, and <strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="5921">by</strongs>the <strongs number="180">river</strongs>of <strongs number="195">Ulai</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Then I lifted <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>, and <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>, and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, there <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="180">river</strongs><strongs number="259">a</strongs><strongs number="352">ram</strongs>which had <em> two </em><strongs number="7161">horns</strongs>: and the <em> two </em><strongs number="7161">horns</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="1364">high</strongs>; but <strongs number="259">one</strongs><em> was </em><strongs number="1364">higher</strongs><strongs number="4480">than</strongs>the <strongs number="8145">other</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1364">higher</strongs>came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="314">last</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>I <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="352">ram</strongs><strongs number="5055">pushing</strongs><strongs number="3220">westward</strongs>, and <strongs number="6828">northward</strongs>, and <strongs number="5045">southward</strongs>; so that <strongs number="3808 3605">no</strongs><strongs number="2416">beasts</strongs>might <strongs number="5975">stand</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>him, <strongs number="369">neither</strongs><em> was </em><em> there </em><em> any </em>that could <strongs number="5337">deliver</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 3027">hand</strongs>; but he <strongs number="6213">did</strongs>according to his <strongs number="7522">will</strongs>, and became <strongs number="1431">great</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And as <strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="1961">was</strongs><strongs number="995">considering</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, a he <strongs number="6842 5795">goat</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>the <strongs number="4628">west</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>of the <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and <strongs number="5060">touched</strongs><strongs number="369">not</strongs>the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs>: and the <strongs number="6842">goat</strongs><em> had </em>a <strongs number="2380">notable</strongs><strongs number="7161">horn</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs>his <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And he <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="352">ram</strongs>that <strongs number="1167">had</strongs><em> two </em><strongs number="7161">horns</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>I had <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><strongs number="5975">standing</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="180">river</strongs>, and <strongs number="7323">ran</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him in the <strongs number="2534">fury</strongs>of his <strongs number="3581">power</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='8'>Therefore the he <strongs number="6842 5795">goat</strongs>waxed very <strongs number="1431 5704 3966">great</strongs>: and when he was <strongs number="6105">strong</strongs>, the <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7161">horn</strongs>was <strongs number="7665">broken</strongs>; and <strongs number="8478">for</strongs>it came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="702">four</strongs>notable <strongs number="2380">ones</strongs>toward the <strongs number="702">four</strongs><strongs number="7307">winds</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs><strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>them came <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="259">a</strongs><strongs number="4480 4704">little</strongs><strongs number="7161">horn</strongs>, which waxed exceeding <strongs number="1431 3499">great</strongs>, <strongs number="413">toward</strongs>the <strongs number="5045">south</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">toward</strongs>the <strongs number="4217">east</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">toward</strongs>the <strongs number="6643">pleasant</strongs><em> land </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And it waxed <strongs number="1431">great</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>of <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>; and it cast <strongs number="5307">down</strongs><em> some </em><strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>and <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>the <strongs number="3556">stars</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs>, and stamped <strongs number="7429">upon</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Yea, he <strongs number="1431">magnified</strongs><em> himself </em>even <strongs number="5704">to</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">prince</strongs>of the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>, and <strongs number="4480">by</strongs>him the <strongs number="8548">daily</strongs><em> sacrifice </em>was taken <strongs number="7311">away</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4349">place</strongs>of his <strongs number="4720">sanctuary</strongs>was cast <strongs number="7993">down</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And a <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>was <strongs number="5414">given</strongs><em> him </em><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="8548">daily</strongs><em> sacrifice </em>by reason of <strongs number="6588">transgression</strongs>, and it cast <strongs number="7993">down</strongs>the <strongs number="571">truth</strongs>to the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs>; and it <strongs number="6213">practiced</strongs>, and <strongs number="6743">prospered</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>Then I <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="259">one</strongs><strongs number="6918">saint</strongs><strongs number="1696">speaking</strongs>, and <strongs number="259">another</strongs><strongs number="6918">saint</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto that <strongs number="6422">certain</strongs><em> saint </em>which <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>, How <strongs number="5704 4970">long</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>the <strongs number="2377">vision</strongs><em> concerning </em>the <strongs number="8548">daily</strongs><em> sacrifice </em>, and the <strongs number="6588">transgression</strongs>of <strongs number="8074">desolation</strongs>, to <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>both the <strongs number="6944">sanctuary</strongs>and the <strongs number="6635">host</strongs>to be trodden under <strongs number="4823">foot</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, <strongs number="5704">Unto</strongs>two <strongs number="505">thousand</strongs>and <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="3967">hundred</strongs><strongs number="6153 1242">days</strongs>; then shall the <strongs number="6944">sanctuary</strongs>be <strongs number="6663">cleansed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And it came to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, when I, <em> even </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="1840">Daniel</strongs>, had <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2377">vision</strongs>, and <strongs number="1245">sought</strongs>for the <strongs number="998">meaning</strongs>, then, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, there <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs><strongs number="5048">before</strongs>me as the <strongs number="4758">appearance</strongs>of a <strongs number="1397">man</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>And I <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>a <strongs number="120">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs><strongs number="996">between</strongs><em> the </em><em> banks </em><em> of </em><strongs number="195">Ulai</strongs>, which <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="1403">Gabriel</strongs>, make <strongs number="1975">this</strongs><em> man </em>to <strongs number="995">understand</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4758">vision</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>So he <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="681">near</strongs>where I <strongs number="5977">stood</strongs>: and when he <strongs number="935">came</strongs>, I was <strongs number="1204">afraid</strongs>, and <strongs number="5307">fell</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>: but he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, <strongs number="995">Understand</strongs>, O <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="120">man</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>at the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of the <strongs number="7093">end</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>the <strongs number="4758">vision</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Now as he was <strongs number="1696">speaking</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>me, I was in a deep <strongs number="7290">sleep</strongs><strongs number="5921">on</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>toward the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs>: but he <strongs number="5060">touched</strongs>me, and <strongs number="5975">set</strongs>me <strongs number="5921 5977">upright</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>And he <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will make thee <strongs number="3045">know</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="834">what</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>in the last <strongs number="319">end</strongs>of the <strongs number="2195">indignation</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>at the time <strongs number="4150">appointed</strongs>the <strongs number="7093">end</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>The <strongs number="352">ram</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>thou <strongs number="7200">sawest</strongs><strongs number="1167">having</strongs><em> two </em><strongs number="7161">horns</strongs><em> are </em>the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of <strongs number="4074">Media</strongs>and <strongs number="6539">Persia</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And the <strongs number="8163">rough</strongs><strongs number="6842">goat</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3120">Greece</strongs>: and the <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7161">horn</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="996">between</strongs>his <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7223">first</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>Now that being <strongs number="7665">broken</strongs>, whereas <strongs number="702">four</strongs>stood <strongs number="5975">up</strongs><strongs number="8478">for</strongs>it, <strongs number="702">four</strongs><strongs number="4438">kingdoms</strongs>shall stand <strongs number="5975">up</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 1471">nation</strongs>, but <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>in his <strongs number="3581">power</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'>And in the latter <strongs number="319">time</strongs>of their <strongs number="4438">kingdom</strongs>, when the <strongs number="6586">transgressors</strongs>are come to the <strongs number="8552">full</strongs>, a <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="5794">fierce</strongs><strongs number="6440">countenance</strongs>, and <strongs number="995">understanding</strongs>dark <strongs number="2420">sentences</strongs>, shall stand <strongs number="5975">up</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>And his <strongs number="3581">power</strongs>shall be <strongs number="6105">mighty</strongs>, but <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>by his own <strongs number="3581">power</strongs>: and he shall <strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs><strongs number="6381">wonderfully</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">practice</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs>the <strongs number="6099">mighty</strongs>and the <strongs number="6918">holy</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>And <strongs number="5921">through</strongs>his <strongs number="7922">policy</strongs>also he shall cause <strongs number="4820">craft</strongs>to <strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>in his <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; and he shall <strongs number="1431">magnify</strongs><em> himself </em>in his <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>, and by <strongs number="7962">peace</strongs>shall <strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs><strongs number="7227">many</strongs>: he shall also stand <strongs number="5975">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="8269">Prince</strongs>of <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>; but he shall be <strongs number="7665">broken</strongs><strongs number="657">without</strongs><strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>And the <strongs number="4758">vision</strongs>of the <strongs number="6153">evening</strongs>and the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs>was <strongs number="559">told</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="571">true</strongs>: wherefore shut thou <strongs number="859 5640">up</strongs>the <strongs number="2377">vision</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>it <em> shall </em><em> be </em>for <strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='27'>And <strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="1840">Daniel</strongs><strongs number="1961">fainted</strongs>, and was <strongs number="2470">sick</strongs><em> certain </em><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>; afterward I rose <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>'s <strongs number="4399">business</strongs>; and I was <strongs number="8074">astonished</strongs><strongs number="5921">at</strongs>the <strongs number="4758">vision</strongs>, but <strongs number="369">none</strongs><strongs number="995">understood</strongs><em> it </em>. </verse>
