      <verse number='1'>Oh <strongs number="4310">that</strongs>my <strongs number="7218">head</strongs><strongs number="5414">were</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, and mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>a <strongs number="4726">fountain</strongs>of <strongs number="1832">tears</strongs>, that I might <strongs number="1058">weep</strongs><strongs number="3119">day</strongs>and <strongs number="3915">night</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs>the <strongs number="2491">slain</strongs>of the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>! </verse>
      <verse number='2'>Oh that I <strongs number="4310 5414">had</strongs>in the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>a lodging <strongs number="4411">place</strongs>of wayfaring <strongs number="732">men</strongs>; that I might <strongs number="5800">leave</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">go</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>them! <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <em> be </em><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="5003">adulterers</strongs>, an <strongs number="6116">assembly</strongs>of treacherous <strongs number="898">men</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='4'>Take ye <strongs number="8104">heed</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>of his <strongs number="4480 7453">neighbor</strongs>, and <strongs number="982">trust</strongs>ye <strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="5921">in</strongs><strongs number="3605">any</strongs><strongs number="251">brother</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="251">brother</strongs>will utterly <strongs number="6117 6117">supplant</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">every</strongs><strongs number="7453">neighbor</strongs>will <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>with <strongs number="7400">slanders</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='6'>Thine <strongs number="3427">habitation</strongs><em> is </em>in the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="4820">deceit</strongs>; through <strongs number="4820">deceit</strongs>they <strongs number="3985">refuse</strongs>to <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>me, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="6884">melt</strongs>them, and <strongs number="974">try</strongs>them; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="349">how</strongs>shall I <strongs number="6213">do</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">for</strongs>the <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='8'>Their <strongs number="3956">tongue</strongs><em> is </em><em> as </em>an <strongs number="2671">arrow</strongs>shot <strongs number="7819">out</strongs>; it <strongs number="1696">speaketh</strongs><strongs number="4820">deceit</strongs>: <em> one </em><strongs number="1696">speaketh</strongs><strongs number="7965">peaceably</strongs><strongs number="854">to</strongs>his <strongs number="7453">neighbor</strongs>with his <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>, but in <strongs number="7130">heart</strongs>he <strongs number="7760">layeth</strongs>his <strongs number="696">wait</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Shall I <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6485">visit</strongs>them <strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> things </em>? <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>my <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>be <strongs number="5358">avenged</strongs>on <strongs number="834">such</strongs>a <strongs number="1471">nation</strongs>as <strongs number="2088">this</strongs>? </verse>

      <verse number='14'>But have <strongs number="1980">walked</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>the <strongs number="8307">imagination</strongs>of their own <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>, and <strongs number="310">after</strongs><strongs number="1168">Baalim</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>their <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs><strongs number="3925">taught</strongs>them: </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="398">feed</strongs>them, <em> even </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, with <strongs number="3939">wormwood</strongs>, and give them <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>of <strongs number="7219">gall</strongs>to <strongs number="8248">drink</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>I will <strongs number="6327">scatter</strongs>them also among the <strongs number="1471">heathen</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs><strongs number="3808">neither</strongs><strongs number="1992">they</strongs>nor their <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>have <strongs number="3045">known</strongs>: and I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>a <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>them, <strongs number="5704">till</strongs>I have <strongs number="3615">consumed</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='17'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="995">Consider</strongs>ye, and <strongs number="7121">call</strongs>for the mourning <strongs number="6969">women</strongs>, that they may <strongs number="935">come</strongs>; and <strongs number="7971">send</strongs><strongs number="413">for</strongs><strongs number="2450">cunning</strongs><em> women </em>, that they may <strongs number="935">come</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='18'>And let them make <strongs number="4116">haste</strongs>, and take <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>a <strongs number="5092">wailing</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs>us, that our <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>may run <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>with <strongs number="1832">tears</strongs>, and our <strongs number="6079">eyelids</strongs>gush <strongs number="5140">out</strongs>with <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>a <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>of <strongs number="5092">wailing</strongs>is <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 6726">Zion</strongs>, <strongs number="349">How</strongs>are we <strongs number="7703">spoiled</strongs>! we are <strongs number="3966">greatly</strongs><strongs number="954">confounded</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>we have <strongs number="5800">forsaken</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>our <strongs number="4908">dwellings</strongs>have cast <em> us </em><strongs number="7993">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="3588">Yet</strongs><strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, O ye <strongs number="802">women</strongs>, and let your <strongs number="241">ear</strongs><strongs number="3947">receive</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of his <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>, and <strongs number="3925">teach</strongs>your <strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs><strongs number="5092">wailing</strongs>, and every <strongs number="802">one</strongs>her <strongs number="7468">neighbor</strongs><strongs number="7015">lamentation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="4194">death</strongs>is come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>into our <strongs number="2474">windows</strongs>, <em> and </em>is <strongs number="935">entered</strongs>into our <strongs number="759">palaces</strongs>, to cut <strongs number="3772">off</strongs>the <strongs number="5768">children</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 2351">without</strongs>, <em> and </em>the young <strongs number="970">men</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 7339">streets</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'><strongs number="1696">Speak</strongs>, <strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, Even the <strongs number="5038">carcasses</strongs>of <strongs number="120">men</strongs>shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>as <strongs number="1828">dung</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">open</strongs><strongs number="7704">field</strongs>, and as the <strongs number="5995">handful</strongs><strongs number="4480 310">after</strongs>the harvest <strongs number="7114">man</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">none</strongs>shall <strongs number="622">gather</strongs><em> them </em>. </verse>
