      <verse number='1'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will raise <strongs number="5782">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and <strongs number="413">against</strongs>them that <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="3820">midst</strongs>of them that rise <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>against me, a <strongs number="7843">destroying</strongs><strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs>unto <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="2114">fanners</strongs>, that shall <strongs number="2219">fan</strongs>her, and shall <strongs number="1238">empty</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="776">land</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="7451">trouble</strongs>they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her round <strongs number="4480 5439">about</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='5'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><em> hath </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><em> been </em><strongs number="488">forsaken</strongs>, nor <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>of his <strongs number="4480 430">God</strongs>, of the <strongs number="4480 3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">though</strongs>their <strongs number="776">land</strongs>was <strongs number="4390">filled</strongs>with <strongs number="817">sin</strongs>against the Holy <strongs number="4480 6918">One</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="5127">Flee</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 8432">midst</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and <strongs number="4422">deliver</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>his <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>: be <strongs number="408">not</strongs>cut <strongs number="1826">off</strongs>in her <strongs number="5771">iniquity</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">this</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="5360">vengeance</strongs>; he will <strongs number="7999">render</strongs>unto her a <strongs number="1576">recompense</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><em> hath </em><em> been </em>a <strongs number="2091">golden</strongs><strongs number="3563">cup</strongs>in the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>, that made <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs><strongs number="7937">drunken</strongs>: the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>have <strongs number="8354">drunken</strongs>of her <strongs number="4480 3196">wine</strongs>; <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>are <strongs number="1984">mad</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>is <strongs number="6597">suddenly</strongs><strongs number="5307">fallen</strongs>and <strongs number="7665">destroyed</strongs>: <strongs number="3213">howl</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs>her; <strongs number="3947">take</strongs><strongs number="6875">balm</strongs>for her <strongs number="4341">pain</strongs>, if so <strongs number="194">be</strongs>she may be <strongs number="7495">healed</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='10'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath brought <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>our <strongs number="6666">righteousness</strongs>: <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, and let us <strongs number="5608">declare</strongs>in <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4639">work</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='12'>Set <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>the <strongs number="5251">standard</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="2346">walls</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, make the <strongs number="4929">watch</strongs><strongs number="2388">strong</strongs>, set <strongs number="6965">up</strongs>the <strongs number="8104">watchmen</strongs>, <strongs number="3559">prepare</strongs>the <strongs number="693">ambushes</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="1571">both</strongs><strongs number="2161">devised</strongs><strongs number="1571">and</strongs><strongs number="6213">done</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>that <strongs number="834">which</strongs>he <strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>O thou that <strongs number="7931">dwellest</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, <strongs number="7227">abundant</strongs>in <strongs number="214">treasures</strongs>, thine <strongs number="7093">end</strongs>is <strongs number="935">come</strongs>, <em> and </em>the <strongs number="520">measure</strongs>of thy <strongs number="1215">covetousness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>hath <strongs number="7650">sworn</strongs>by <strongs number="5315">himself</strongs>, <em> saying </em>, <strongs number="3588 518">Surely</strongs>I will <strongs number="4390">fill</strongs>thee with <strongs number="120">men</strongs>, as with <strongs number="3218">caterpillars</strongs>; and they shall lift <strongs number="6030">up</strongs>a <strongs number="1959">shout</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>He hath <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>by his <strongs number="3581">power</strongs>, he hath <strongs number="3559">established</strongs>the <strongs number="8398">world</strongs>by his <strongs number="2451">wisdom</strongs>, and hath stretched <strongs number="5186">out</strongs>the <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>by his <strongs number="8394">understanding</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'>When he <strongs number="5414">uttereth</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, <em> there </em><em> is </em>a <strongs number="1995">multitude</strongs>of <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>in the <strongs number="8064">heavens</strongs>; and he causeth the <strongs number="5387">vapors</strongs>to <strongs number="5927">ascend</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 7097">ends</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>: he <strongs number="6213">maketh</strongs><strongs number="1300">lightnings</strongs>with <strongs number="4306">rain</strongs>, and bringeth <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>the <strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 214">treasures</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'><strongs number="1992">They</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="1892">vanity</strongs>, the <strongs number="4639">work</strongs>of <strongs number="8595">errors</strongs>: in the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of their <strongs number="6486">visitation</strongs>they shall <strongs number="6">perish</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'>The <strongs number="2506">portion</strongs>of <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>like <strongs number="428">them</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="3335">former</strongs>of all <strongs number="3605">things</strongs>: and <em> Israel </em><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7626">rod</strongs>of his <strongs number="5159">inheritance</strongs>: the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs><em> is </em>his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'><strongs number="859">Thou</strongs><em> art </em>my battle <strongs number="4661">axe</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="3627">weapons</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>: for with thee will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>, and with thee will I <strongs number="7843">destroy</strongs><strongs number="4467">kingdoms</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='21'>And with thee will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs>the <strongs number="5483">horse</strongs>and his <strongs number="7392">rider</strongs>; and with thee will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs>the <strongs number="7393">chariot</strongs>and his <strongs number="7392">rider</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='22'>With thee also will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>and <strongs number="802">woman</strongs>; and with thee will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs><strongs number="2205">old</strongs>and <strongs number="5288">young</strongs>; and with thee will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs>the young <strongs number="970">man</strongs>and the <strongs number="1330">maid</strongs>; </verse>
      <verse number='23'>I will also break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs>with thee the <strongs number="7462">shepherd</strongs>and his <strongs number="5739">flock</strongs>; and with thee will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs>the <strongs number="406">husbandman</strongs>and his yoke of <strongs number="6776">oxen</strongs>; and with thee will I break in <strongs number="5310">pieces</strongs><strongs number="6346">captains</strongs>and <strongs number="5461">rulers</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='24'>And I will <strongs number="7999">render</strongs>unto <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>and to <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3778">Chaldea</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>their <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>they have <strongs number="6213">done</strongs>in <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs>in your <strongs number="5869">sight</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='27'>Set ye <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>a <strongs number="5251">standard</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="8628">blow</strongs>the <strongs number="7782">trumpet</strongs>among the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>, <strongs number="6942">prepare</strongs>the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her, call <strongs number="8085">together</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her the <strongs number="4467">kingdoms</strongs>of <strongs number="780">Ararat</strongs>, <strongs number="4508">Minni</strongs>, and <strongs number="813">Ashchenaz</strongs>; <strongs number="6485">appoint</strongs>a <strongs number="2951">captain</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her; cause the <strongs number="5483">horses</strongs>to come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>as the <strongs number="5569">rough</strongs><strongs number="3218">caterpillars</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='28'><strongs number="6942">Prepare</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>her the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>with <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4428">kings</strongs>of the <strongs number="4074">Medes</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6346">captains</strongs>thereof, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5461">rulers</strongs>thereof, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of his <strongs number="4475">dominion</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'>And the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>shall <strongs number="7493">tremble</strongs>and <strongs number="2342">sorrow</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>every <strongs number="4284">purpose</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall be <strongs number="6965">performed</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, to <strongs number="7760">make</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>a <strongs number="8047">desolation</strongs><strongs number="4480 369">without</strongs>an <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='30'>The mighty <strongs number="1368">men</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>have <strongs number="2308">forborne</strongs>to <strongs number="3898">fight</strongs>, they have <strongs number="3427">remained</strongs>in <em> their </em><strongs number="4679">holds</strongs>: their <strongs number="1369">might</strongs>hath <strongs number="5405">failed</strongs>; they <strongs number="1961">became</strongs>as <strongs number="802">women</strongs>: they have <strongs number="3341">burned</strongs>her dwelling <strongs number="4908">places</strongs>; her <strongs number="1280">bars</strongs>are <strongs number="7665">broken</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='31'>One <strongs number="7323">post</strongs>shall <strongs number="7323">run</strongs>to <strongs number="7125">meet</strongs><strongs number="7323">another</strongs>, and one <strongs number="5046">messenger</strongs>to <strongs number="7125">meet</strongs><strongs number="5046">another</strongs>, to <strongs number="5046">show</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>his <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>is <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>at <em> one </em><strongs number="4480 7097">end</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='32'>And that the <strongs number="4569">passages</strongs>are <strongs number="8610">stopped</strongs>, and the <strongs number="98">reeds</strongs>they have <strongs number="8313">burned</strongs>with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and the <strongs number="376">men</strongs>of <strongs number="4421">war</strongs>are <strongs number="926">frightened</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='33'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; The <strongs number="1323">daughter</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><em> is </em>like a <strongs number="1637">threshingfloor</strongs>, <em> it </em><em> is </em><strongs number="6256">time</strongs>to <strongs number="1869">thresh</strongs>her: <strongs number="5750">yet</strongs>a little <strongs number="4592">while</strongs>, and the <strongs number="6256">time</strongs>of her <strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='34'><strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>hath <strongs number="398">devoured</strongs>me, he hath <strongs number="2000">crushed</strongs>me, he hath <strongs number="3322">made</strongs>me an <strongs number="7385">empty</strongs><strongs number="3627">vessel</strongs>, he hath swallowed me <strongs number="1104">up</strongs>like a <strongs number="8577">dragon</strongs>, he hath <strongs number="4390">filled</strongs>his <strongs number="3770">belly</strongs>with my <strongs number="4480 5730">delicacies</strongs>, he hath cast me <strongs number="1740">out</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='35'>The <strongs number="2555">violence</strongs>done to me and to my <strongs number="7607">flesh</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, shall the <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>of <strongs number="6726">Zion</strongs><strongs number="559">say</strongs>; and my <strongs number="1818">blood</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>of <strongs number="3778">Chaldea</strongs>, shall <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="559">say</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='36'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="7378">plead</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>thy <strongs number="7379">cause</strongs>, and take vengeance for <strongs number="5358 *853 5360">thee</strongs>; and I will dry <strongs number="2717">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>, and make <strongs number="*853"></strongs>her <strongs number="4726">springs</strongs><strongs number="3001">dry</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='37'>And <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">become</strongs><strongs number="1530">heaps</strongs>, a dwelling <strongs number="4583">place</strongs>for <strongs number="8577">dragons</strongs>, an <strongs number="8047">astonishment</strongs>, and a <strongs number="8322">hissing</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 369">without</strongs>an <strongs number="3427">inhabitant</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='38'>They shall <strongs number="7580">roar</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>like <strongs number="3715">lions</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="5286">yell</strongs>as <strongs number="738">lions</strongs>' <strongs number="1484">whelps</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='42'>The <strongs number="3220">sea</strongs>is come <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>: she is <strongs number="3680">covered</strongs>with the <strongs number="1995">multitude</strongs>of the <strongs number="1530">waves</strongs>thereof. </verse>
      <verse number='43'>Her <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><strongs number="1961">are</strongs>a <strongs number="8047">desolation</strongs>, a <strongs number="6723">dry</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and a <strongs number="6160">wilderness</strongs>, a <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="2004">wherein</strongs><strongs number="3605 3808">no</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="3427">dwelleth</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>doth <em> any </em><strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="120">man</strongs><strongs number="5674">pass</strongs><strongs number="2004">thereby</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='44'>And I will <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs><strongs number="1078">Bel</strongs>in <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and I will bring <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>out of his <strongs number="4480 6310">mouth</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>that which he hath swallowed <strongs number="1105">up</strongs>: and the <strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>flow <strongs number="5102">together</strongs>any <strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him: <strongs number="1571">yea</strongs>, the <strongs number="2346">wall</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='45'>My <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="3318">go</strongs>ye out of the <strongs number="4480 8432">midst</strongs>of her, and <strongs number="4422">deliver</strongs>ye every <strongs number="376">man</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5315">soul</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 2740">fierce</strongs><strongs number="639">anger</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='46'>And <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>your <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs><strongs number="7401">faint</strongs>, and ye <strongs number="3372">fear</strongs>for the <strongs number="8052">rumor</strongs>that shall be <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>; a <strongs number="8052">rumor</strongs>shall both <strongs number="935">come</strongs><em> one </em><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>, and <strongs number="310">after</strongs>that in <em> another </em><strongs number="8141">year</strongs><em> shall </em><em> come </em>a <strongs number="8052">rumor</strongs>, and <strongs number="2555">violence</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>, <strongs number="4910">ruler</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs><strongs number="4910">ruler</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='47'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs>, that I will do <strongs number="6485">judgment</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the graven <strongs number="6456">images</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>: and her <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>shall be <strongs number="954">confounded</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>her <strongs number="2491">slain</strongs>shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>in the <strongs number="8432">midst</strongs>of her. </verse>
      <verse number='48'>Then the <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>and the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> is </em>therein, shall <strongs number="7442">sing</strongs><strongs number="5921">for</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="7703">spoilers</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs>unto her from the <strongs number="4480 6828">north</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='49'><strongs number="1571">As</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs><em> hath </em><em> caused </em>the <strongs number="2491">slain</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>to <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">so</strongs>at <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>the <strongs number="2491">slain</strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='50'>Ye that have <strongs number="6412">escaped</strongs>the <strongs number="4480 2719">sword</strongs>, go <strongs number="1980">away</strongs>, stand not <strongs number="408 5975">still</strongs>: <strongs number="2142">remember</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>afar <strongs number="7350">off</strongs>, and let <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs><strongs number="5927">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">into</strongs>your <strongs number="3824">mind</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='51'>We are <strongs number="954">confounded</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">because</strongs>we have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs>: <strongs number="3639">shame</strongs>hath <strongs number="3680">covered</strongs>our <strongs number="6440">faces</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="2114">strangers</strongs>are <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">into</strongs>the <strongs number="4720">sanctuaries</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='52'><strongs number="3651">Wherefore</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, that I will do <strongs number="6485">judgment</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>her graven <strongs number="6456">images</strongs>: and through <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>her <strongs number="776">land</strongs>the <strongs number="2491">wounded</strongs>shall <strongs number="602">groan</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='53'><strongs number="3588">Though</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>should mount <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>, and <strongs number="3588">though</strongs>she should <strongs number="1219">fortify</strongs>the <strongs number="4791">height</strongs>of her <strongs number="5797">strength</strongs>, <em> yet </em><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>me shall <strongs number="7703">spoilers</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs>unto her, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='54'>A <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of a <strongs number="2201">cry</strongs><em> cometh </em>from <strongs number="4480 894">Babylon</strongs>, and <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="7667">destruction</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='55'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="7703">spoiled</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and <strongs number="6">destroyed</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs>her the <strongs number="1419">great</strongs><strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>; when her <strongs number="1530">waves</strongs>do <strongs number="1993">roar</strongs>like <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>, a <strongs number="7588">noise</strongs>of their <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>is <strongs number="5414">uttered</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='56'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>the <strongs number="7703">spoiler</strongs>is <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>her, <em> even </em><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and her mighty <strongs number="1368">men</strongs>are <strongs number="3920">taken</strongs>, every one of their <strongs number="7198">bows</strongs>is <strongs number="2865">broken</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="410">God</strongs>of <strongs number="1578">recompenses</strongs>shall surely <strongs number="7999 7999">requite</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='57'>And I will make <strongs number="7937">drunk</strongs>her <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and her <strongs number="2450">wise</strongs><em> men </em>, her <strongs number="6346">captains</strongs>, and her <strongs number="5461">rulers</strongs>, and her mighty <strongs number="1368">men</strongs>: and they shall <strongs number="3462">sleep</strongs>a <strongs number="5769">perpetual</strongs><strongs number="8142">sleep</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6974">wake</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">King</strongs>, whose <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='58'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>; The <strongs number="7342">broad</strongs><strongs number="2346">walls</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>shall be utterly <strongs number="6209 6209">broken</strongs>, and her <strongs number="1364">high</strongs><strongs number="8179">gates</strongs>shall be <strongs number="3341">burned</strongs>with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>; and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>shall <strongs number="3021">labor</strongs>in <strongs number="7385">vain</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3816">folk</strongs>in the <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>, and they shall be <strongs number="3286">weary</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='59'>The <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8304">Seraiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="5374">Neriah</strongs>, the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="4271">Maaseiah</strongs>, when he <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>into <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>in the <strongs number="7243">fourth</strongs><strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of his <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>. And <em> this </em><strongs number="8304">Seraiah</strongs><em> was </em>a <strongs number="4496">quiet</strongs><strongs number="8269">prince</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='60'>So <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="3789">wrote</strongs><strongs number="413">in</strongs><strongs number="259">a</strongs><strongs number="5612">book</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>should <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, <em> even </em><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>that are <strongs number="3789">written</strongs><strongs number="413">against</strongs><strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='61'>And <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="8304">Seraiah</strongs>, When thou <strongs number="935">comest</strongs>to <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>, and shalt <strongs number="7200">see</strongs>, and shalt <strongs number="7121">read</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="1697">words</strongs>; </verse>
