      <verse number='1'>The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="7200">showed</strongs>me, and, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><strongs number="1736">baskets</strongs>of <strongs number="8384">figs</strongs><em> were </em><strongs number="3259">set</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="1964">temple</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, after <strongs number="310">that</strongs><strongs number="5019">Nebuchadnezzar</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>had carried away <strongs number="1540">captive</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3204">Jeconiah</strongs>the <strongs number="1121">son</strongs>of <strongs number="3079">Jehoiakim</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="854">with</strongs>the <strongs number="2796">carpenters</strongs>and <strongs number="4525">smiths</strongs>, from <strongs number="4480 3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, and had <strongs number="935">brought</strongs>them to <strongs number="894">Babylon</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="259">One</strongs><strongs number="1731">basket</strongs><em> had </em><strongs number="3966">very</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs><strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, <em> even </em>like the <strongs number="8384">figs</strongs><em> that </em><em> are </em>first <strongs number="1073">ripe</strongs>: and the <strongs number="259">other</strongs><strongs number="1731">basket</strongs><em> had </em><strongs number="3966">very</strongs><strongs number="7451">naughty</strongs><strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>could <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="398">eaten</strongs>, they were so <strongs number="4480 7455">bad</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>Then <strongs number="559">said</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs><strongs number="7200">seest</strongs><strongs number="859">thou</strongs>, <strongs number="3414">Jeremiah</strongs>? And I <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="8384">Figs</strongs>; the <strongs number="2896">good</strongs><strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, <strongs number="3966">very</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>; and the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, <strongs number="3966">very</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs><strongs number="3808">cannot</strongs>be <strongs number="398">eaten</strongs>, they are so <strongs number="4480 7455">evil</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>Again the <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1961">came</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; Like <strongs number="428">these</strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs><strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">so</strongs>will I <strongs number="5234">acknowledge</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>them that are carried away <strongs number="1546">captive</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, <strongs number="834">whom</strongs>I have <strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>out <strongs number="4480">of</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs>into the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of the <strongs number="3778">Chaldeans</strongs>for <em> their </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>For I will <strongs number="7760">set</strongs>mine <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them for <strongs number="2896">good</strongs>, and I will bring them <strongs number="7725">again</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>: and I will <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>them, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>pull <em> them </em><strongs number="2040">down</strongs>; and I will <strongs number="5193">plant</strongs>them, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>pluck <em> them </em><strongs number="5428">up</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And I will <strongs number="5414">give</strongs>them a <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>to <strongs number="3045">know</strongs>me, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>: and they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, and <strongs number="595">I</strongs>will <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>their <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they shall <strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>me with their <strongs number="3605">whole</strongs><strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And as the <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="8384">figs</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs><strongs number="3808">cannot</strongs>be <strongs number="398">eaten</strongs>, they are so <strongs number="4480 7455">evil</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">surely</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, <strongs number="3651">So</strongs>will I <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="6667">Zedekiah</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>, and his <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7611">residue</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>, that <strongs number="7604">remain</strongs>in <strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="776">land</strongs>, and them that <strongs number="3427">dwell</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>of <strongs number="4714">Egypt</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And I will <strongs number="5414">deliver</strongs>them to be <strongs number="2189">removed</strongs>into <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="4467">kingdoms</strongs>of the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>for <em> their </em><strongs number="7451">hurt</strongs>, <em> to </em><em> be </em>a <strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs>and a <strongs number="4912">proverb</strongs>, a <strongs number="8148">taunt</strongs>and a <strongs number="7045">curse</strongs>, in <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="4725">places</strongs><strongs number="834 8033">whither</strongs>I shall <strongs number="5080">drive</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And I will <strongs number="7971">send</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2719">sword</strongs>, <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7458">famine</strongs>, and the <strongs number="1698">pestilence</strongs>, among them, <strongs number="5704">till</strongs>they be <strongs number="8552">consumed</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 5921">off</strongs>the <strongs number="127">land</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>unto them and to their <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>. </verse>
