      <verse number='1'><strongs number="1945">Woe</strongs>be unto the <strongs number="7462">pastors</strongs>that <strongs number="6">destroy</strongs>and <strongs number="6327">scatter</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6629">sheep</strongs>of my <strongs number="4830">pasture</strongs>! <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="7462">pastors</strongs>that <strongs number="7462">feed</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>; <strongs number="859">Ye</strongs>have <strongs number="6327">scattered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="6629">flock</strongs>, and driven them <strongs number="5080">away</strongs>, and have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6485">visited</strongs>them: <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="6485">visit</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>you <strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7455">evil</strongs>of your <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="589">I</strongs>will <strongs number="6908">gather</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="7611">remnant</strongs>of my <strongs number="6629">flock</strongs>out of <strongs number="4480 3605">all</strongs><strongs number="776">countries</strongs><strongs number="834 8033">whither</strongs>I have <strongs number="5080">driven</strongs>them, and will bring them <strongs number="7725 *853">again</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>their <strongs number="5116">folds</strongs>; and they shall be <strongs number="6509">fruitful</strongs>and <strongs number="7235">increase</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And I will set <strongs number="6965">up</strongs><strongs number="7462">shepherds</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>them which shall <strongs number="7462">feed</strongs>them: and they shall <strongs number="3372">fear</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs>be <strongs number="2865">dismayed</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>shall they be <strongs number="6485">lacking</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, the <strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="935">come</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, that I will <strongs number="6965">raise</strongs>unto <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>a <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs><strongs number="6780">Branch</strongs>, and a <strongs number="4428">King</strongs>shall <strongs number="4427">reign</strongs>and <strongs number="7919">prosper</strongs>, and shall <strongs number="6213">execute</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>and <strongs number="6666">justice</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>In his <strongs number="3117">days</strongs><strongs number="3063">Judah</strongs>shall be <strongs number="3467">saved</strongs>, and <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>shall <strongs number="7931">dwell</strongs><strongs number="983">safely</strongs>: and <strongs number="2088">this</strongs><em> is </em>his <strongs number="8034">name</strongs><strongs number="834">whereby</strongs>he shall be <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>, THE <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>OUR <strongs number="6664">RIGHTEOUSNESS</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='9'>Mine <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs><strongs number="7130">within</strongs>me is <strongs number="7665">broken</strongs>because of the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>; <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>my <strongs number="6106">bones</strongs><strongs number="7363">shake</strongs>; I <strongs number="1961">am</strongs>like a <strongs number="7910">drunken</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>, and like a <strongs number="1397">man</strongs>whom <strongs number="3196">wine</strongs>hath <strongs number="5674">overcome</strongs>, <strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of his <strongs number="6944">holiness</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>is <strongs number="4390">full</strongs>of <strongs number="5003">adulterers</strongs>; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of <strongs number="423">swearing</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="56">mourneth</strongs>; the pleasant <strongs number="4999">places</strongs>of the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>are dried <strongs number="3001">up</strongs>, and their <strongs number="4794">course</strongs><strongs number="1961">is</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>, and their <strongs number="1369">force</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3651">right</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="1571">both</strongs><strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs><strongs number="1571">and</strongs><strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>are <strongs number="2610">profane</strongs>; <strongs number="1571">yea</strongs>, in my <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>have I <strongs number="4672">found</strongs>their <strongs number="7451">wickedness</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="3651">Wherefore</strongs>their <strongs number="1870">way</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>unto them as <strongs number="2519">slippery</strongs><em> ways </em>in the <strongs number="653">darkness</strongs>: they shall be driven <strongs number="1760">on</strongs>, and <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>therein: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>I will <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>them, <em> even </em>the <strongs number="8141">year</strongs>of their <strongs number="6486">visitation</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And I have <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs><strongs number="8604">folly</strongs>in the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>of <strongs number="8111">Samaria</strongs>; they <strongs number="5012">prophesied</strongs>in <strongs number="1168">Baal</strongs>, and caused <strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>to <strongs number="8582">err</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>I have <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs>also in the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>a horrible <strongs number="8186">thing</strongs>: they commit <strongs number="5003">adultery</strongs>, and <strongs number="1980">walk</strongs>in <strongs number="8267">lies</strongs>: they <strongs number="2388">strengthen</strongs>also the <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>of <strongs number="7489">evildoers</strongs>, that <strongs number="1115 376">none</strongs>doth <strongs number="7725">return</strongs>from his <strongs number="4480 7451">wickedness</strongs>: they <strongs number="1961">are</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>of them unto me as <strongs number="5467">Sodom</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3427">inhabitants</strongs>thereof as <strongs number="6017">Gomorrah</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="3541">thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs><strongs number="5921">concerning</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I will <strongs number="398">feed</strongs>them with <strongs number="3939">wormwood</strongs>, and make them <strongs number="8248">drink</strongs>the <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>of <strongs number="7219">gall</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>of <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>is <strongs number="2613">profaneness</strongs>gone <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>into <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="776">land</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs><strongs number="559">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>, <strongs number="8085">Hearken</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs><strongs number="5921">unto</strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>that <strongs number="5012">prophesy</strongs>unto you: they make you <strongs number="1891 *853">vain</strongs>: <strongs number="1992">they</strongs><strongs number="1696">speak</strongs>a <strongs number="2377">vision</strongs>of their own <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>, <em> and </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>out of the <strongs number="4480 6310">mouth</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>They say <strongs number="559 559">still</strongs>unto them that <strongs number="5006">despise</strongs>me, The <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>hath <strongs number="1696">said</strongs>, Ye shall <strongs number="1961">have</strongs><strongs number="7965">peace</strongs>; and they <strongs number="559">say</strongs>unto every <strongs number="3605">one</strongs>that <strongs number="1980">walketh</strongs>after the <strongs number="8307">imagination</strongs>of his own <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">No</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>shall <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>you. </verse>
      <verse number='18'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><strongs number="4310">who</strongs>hath <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs>in the <strongs number="5475">counsel</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and hath <strongs number="7200">perceived</strongs>and <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>? <strongs number="4310">who</strongs>hath <strongs number="7181">marked</strongs>his <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>, and <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><em> it </em>? </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, a <strongs number="5591">whirlwind</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>is gone <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs>in <strongs number="2534">fury</strongs>, even a <strongs number="2342">grievous</strongs><strongs number="5591">whirlwind</strongs>: it shall fall <strongs number="2342">grievously</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>the <strongs number="7218">head</strongs>of the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>The <strongs number="639">anger</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7725">return</strongs>, <strongs number="5704">until</strongs>he have <strongs number="6213">executed</strongs>, and <strongs number="5704">till</strongs>he have <strongs number="6965">performed</strongs>the <strongs number="4209">thoughts</strongs>of his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>: in the <strongs number="319">latter</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>ye shall <strongs number="995">consider</strongs>it <strongs number="998">perfectly</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='21'>I have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>these <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, yet <strongs number="1992">they</strongs><strongs number="7323">ran</strongs>: I have <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>them, yet <strongs number="1992">they</strongs><strongs number="5012">prophesied</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='22'>But <strongs number="518">if</strongs>they had <strongs number="5975">stood</strongs>in my <strongs number="5475">counsel</strongs>, and had caused <strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>to <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs>my <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>, then they should have <strongs number="7725">turned</strongs>them from their <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="4480 1870">way</strongs>, and from the <strongs number="4480 7455">evil</strongs>of their <strongs number="4611">doings</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='23'><em> Am </em><strongs number="589">I</strongs>a <strongs number="430">God</strongs>at <strongs number="4480 7138">hand</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>a <strongs number="430">God</strongs>afar <strongs number="4480 7350">off</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='24'><strongs number="518">Can</strongs><strongs number="376">any</strongs>hide <strongs number="5641">himself</strongs>in secret <strongs number="4565">places</strongs>that <strongs number="589">I</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="7200">see</strongs>him? <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. Do <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="4390">fill</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>and <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>? <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='25'>I have <strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="834">what</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, that <strongs number="5012">prophesy</strongs><strongs number="8267">lies</strongs>in my <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, I have <strongs number="2492">dreamed</strongs>, I have <strongs number="2492">dreamed</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='26'>How <strongs number="5704 4970">long</strongs>shall <em> this </em><strongs number="3426">be</strongs>in the <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>of the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>that <strongs number="5012">prophesy</strongs><strongs number="8267">lies</strongs>? yea, <em> they </em><em> are </em><strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>of the <strongs number="8649">deceit</strongs>of their own <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>; </verse>

      <verse number='28'>The <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs><strongs number="834 854">that</strongs>hath a <strongs number="2472">dream</strongs>, let him <strongs number="5608">tell</strongs>a <strongs number="2472">dream</strongs>; and he <strongs number="834 854">that</strongs>hath my <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>, let him <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs>my <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="571">faithfully</strongs>. <strongs number="4100">What</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="8401">chaff</strongs><strongs number="854">to</strongs>the <strongs number="1250">wheat</strongs>? <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='29'><em> Is </em><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>my <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="3541">like</strongs>as a <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>? <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>; and like a <strongs number="6360">hammer</strongs><em> that </em><strongs number="6327">breaketh</strongs>the <strongs number="5553">rock</strongs>in pieces? </verse>
      <verse number='30'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I <em> am </em><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophets</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, that <strongs number="1589">steal</strongs>my <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>his <strongs number="7453">neighbor</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='32'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, I <em> am </em><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>them that <strongs number="5012">prophesy</strongs><strongs number="8267">false</strongs><strongs number="2472">dreams</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and do <strongs number="5608">tell</strongs>them, and cause <strongs number="*853"></strongs>my <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>to <strongs number="8582">err</strongs>by their <strongs number="8267">lies</strongs>, and by their <strongs number="6350">lightness</strongs>; yet <strongs number="595">I</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs>them <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">nor</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>them: therefore they shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>profit this people at <strongs number="3276 3276 5971 2088">all</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='33'>And <strongs number="3588">when</strongs><strongs number="2088">this</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="176">or</strongs>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, <strongs number="176">or</strongs>a <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, shall <strongs number="7592">ask</strongs>thee, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="4853">burden</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>? thou shalt then <strongs number="559">say</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>them, <strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="4100">What</strongs><strongs number="4853">burden</strongs>? I will even <strongs number="5203">forsake</strongs>you, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='34'>And <em> as </em><em> for </em>the <strongs number="5030">prophet</strongs>, and the <strongs number="3548">priest</strongs>, and the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <strongs number="834">that</strongs>shall <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, The <strongs number="4853">burden</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, I will even <strongs number="6485 5921">punish</strongs><strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>and his <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='35'><strongs number="3541">Thus</strongs>shall ye <strongs number="559">say</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>his <strongs number="7453">neighbor</strongs>, and every <strongs number="376">one</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>his <strongs number="251">brother</strongs>, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs>hath the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="6030">answered</strongs>? and, <strongs number="4100">What</strongs>hath the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoken</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='36'>And the <strongs number="4853">burden</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>shall ye <strongs number="2142">mention</strongs><strongs number="3808">no</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>every <strongs number="376">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="1697">word</strongs>shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>his <strongs number="4853">burden</strongs>; for ye have <strongs number="2015">perverted</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="1697">words</strongs>of the <strongs number="2416">living</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>our <strongs number="430">God</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='39'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I, even I, will utterly <strongs number="5382 5382">forget</strongs>you, and I will <strongs number="5203">forsake</strongs>you, and the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>I <strongs number="5414">gave</strongs>you and your <strongs number="1">fathers</strongs>, <em> and </em><em> cast </em><em> you </em>out <strongs number="4480 5921">of</strongs>my <strongs number="6440">presence</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='40'>And I will <strongs number="5414">bring</strongs>an <strongs number="5769">everlasting</strongs><strongs number="2781">reproach</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>you, and a <strongs number="5769">perpetual</strongs><strongs number="3640">shame</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="7911">forgotten</strongs>. </verse>
