      <verse number='1'>The <strongs number="4853">burden</strongs>of <strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>. <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, <strongs number="1834">Damascus</strongs>is taken <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>from <em> being </em>a <strongs number="4480 5892">city</strongs>, and it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>a <strongs number="4654">ruinous</strongs><strongs number="4596">heap</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>The <strongs number="5892">cities</strongs>of <strongs number="6177">Aroer</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="5800">forsaken</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>for <strongs number="5739">flocks</strongs>, which shall lie <strongs number="7257">down</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">none</strongs>shall make <em> them </em><strongs number="2729">afraid</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>The <strongs number="4013">fortress</strongs>also shall <strongs number="7673">cease</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 669">Ephraim</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4467">kingdom</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1834">Damascus</strongs>, and the <strongs number="7605">remnant</strongs>of <strongs number="758">Syria</strongs>: they shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as the <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>of <strongs number="6635">hosts</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And in <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>it shall come to <strongs number="1961">pass</strongs>, <em> that </em>the <strongs number="3519">glory</strongs>of <strongs number="3290">Jacob</strongs>shall be made <strongs number="1809">thin</strongs>, and the <strongs number="4924">fatness</strongs>of his <strongs number="1320">flesh</strongs>shall wax <strongs number="7329">lean</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>And it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as when the harvest <strongs number="7105">man</strongs><strongs number="622">gathereth</strongs>the <strongs number="7054">corn</strongs>, and <strongs number="7114">reapeth</strongs>the <strongs number="7641">ears</strongs>with his <strongs number="2220">arm</strongs>; and it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as he that <strongs number="3950">gathereth</strongs><strongs number="7641">ears</strongs>in the <strongs number="6010">valley</strongs>of <strongs number="7497">Rephaim</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>Yet gleaning <strongs number="5955">grapes</strongs>shall be <strongs number="7604">left</strongs>in it, as the <strongs number="5363">shaking</strongs>of an olive <strongs number="2132">tree</strongs>, <strongs number="8147">two</strongs><em> or </em><strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="1620">berries</strongs>in the <strongs number="7218">top</strongs>of the uppermost <strongs number="534">bough</strongs>, <strongs number="702">four</strongs><em> or </em><strongs number="2568">five</strongs>in the outermost <strongs number="6509">fruitful</strongs><strongs number="5585">branches</strongs>thereof, <strongs number="5002">saith</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>At <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>shall a <strongs number="120">man</strongs><strongs number="8159">look</strongs><strongs number="5921">to</strongs>his <strongs number="6213">Maker</strongs>, and his <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>shall have <strongs number="7200">respect</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the Holy <strongs number="6918">One</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And he shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="8159">look</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>the <strongs number="4196">altars</strongs>, the <strongs number="4639">work</strongs>of his <strongs number="3027">hands</strongs>, <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>shall <strongs number="7200">respect</strongs><em> that </em><strongs number="834">which</strongs>his <strongs number="676">fingers</strongs>have <strongs number="6213">made</strongs>, either the <strongs number="842">groves</strongs>, or the <strongs number="2553">images</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>In <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="3117">day</strongs>shall his <strongs number="4581">strong</strongs><strongs number="5892">cities</strongs><strongs number="1961">be</strongs>as a <strongs number="5800">forsaken</strongs><strongs number="2793">bough</strongs>, and an uppermost <strongs number="534">branch</strongs>, <strongs number="834">which</strongs>they <strongs number="5800">left</strongs><strongs number="4480 6440">because</strongs>of the <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>: and there shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs><strongs number="8077">desolation</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="3588">Because</strongs>thou hast <strongs number="7911">forgotten</strongs>the <strongs number="430">God</strongs>of thy <strongs number="3468">salvation</strongs>, and hast <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>been <strongs number="2142">mindful</strongs>of the <strongs number="6697">rock</strongs>of thy <strongs number="4581">strength</strongs>, <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs>shalt thou <strongs number="5193">plant</strongs><strongs number="5282">pleasant</strongs><strongs number="5194">plants</strongs>, and shalt <strongs number="2232">set</strongs>it with <strongs number="2114">strange</strongs><strongs number="2156">slips</strongs>: </verse>
      <verse number='11'>In the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>shalt thou make thy <strongs number="5194">plant</strongs>to <strongs number="7735">grow</strongs>, and in the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>shalt thou make thy <strongs number="2233">seed</strongs>to <strongs number="6524">flourish</strongs>: <em> but </em>the <strongs number="7105">harvest</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em>a <strongs number="5067">heap</strongs>in the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>of <strongs number="2470">grief</strongs>and of <strongs number="605">desperate</strongs><strongs number="3511">sorrow</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="1945">Woe</strongs>to the <strongs number="1995">multitude</strongs>of <strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>, <em> which </em>make a <strongs number="1993">noise</strongs>like the <strongs number="1993">noise</strongs>of the <strongs number="3220">seas</strongs>; and to the <strongs number="7588">rushing</strongs>of <strongs number="3816">nations</strongs>, <em> that </em>make a <strongs number="7582">rushing</strongs>like the <strongs number="7588">rushing</strongs>of <strongs number="3524">mighty</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>! </verse>
      <verse number='13'>The <strongs number="3816">nations</strongs>shall <strongs number="7582">rush</strongs>like the <strongs number="7588">rushing</strongs>of <strongs number="7227">many</strongs><strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>: but <em> God </em>shall <strongs number="1605">rebuke</strongs>them, and they shall <strongs number="5127">flee</strongs>far <strongs number="4480 4801">off</strongs>, and shall be <strongs number="7291">chased</strongs>as the <strongs number="4671">chaff</strongs>of the <strongs number="2022">mountains</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="7307">wind</strongs>, and like a rolling <strongs number="1534">thing</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>the <strongs number="5492">whirlwind</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>And <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>at <strongs number="6256 6153">eveningtide</strongs><strongs number="1091">trouble</strongs>; <em> and </em><strongs number="2962">before</strongs>the <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>he <em> is </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>. <strongs number="2088">This</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="2506">portion</strongs>of them that <strongs number="8154">spoil</strongs>us, and the <strongs number="1486">lot</strongs>of them that <strongs number="962">rob</strongs>us. </verse>
