<verse number='1'>The <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs><strongs number="5127">flee</strongs>when <strongs number="369">no</strongs>man <strongs number="7291">pursueth</strongs>: but the <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs>are <strongs number="982">bold</strongs>as a <strongs number="3715">lion</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='2'>For the <strongs number="6588">transgression</strongs>of a <strongs number="776">land</strongs><strongs number="7227">many</strongs><em> are </em>the <strongs number="8269">princes</strongs>thereof: but by a <strongs number="120">man</strongs>of <strongs number="995">understanding</strongs><em> and </em><strongs number="3045">knowledge</strongs>the <strongs number="3651">state</strongs><em> thereof </em>shall be <strongs number="748">prolonged</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='3'>A <strongs number="7326">poor</strongs><strongs number="1397">man</strongs>that <strongs number="6231">oppresseth</strongs>the <strongs number="1800">poor</strongs><em> is </em><em> like </em>a <strongs number="5502">sweeping</strongs><strongs number="4306">rain</strongs>which leaveth <strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="3899">food</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='4'>They that <strongs number="5800">forsake</strongs>the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs><strongs number="1984">praise</strongs>the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>: but such as <strongs number="8104">keep</strongs>the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs><strongs number="1624">contend</strongs>with them. </verse>
<verse number='5'><strongs number="7451">Evil</strongs><strongs number="376">men</strongs><strongs number="995">understand</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="4941">judgment</strongs>: but they that <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="995">understand</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><em> things </em>. </verse>
<verse number='6'><strongs number="2896">Better</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="7326">poor</strongs>that <strongs number="1980">walketh</strongs>in his <strongs number="8537">uprightness</strongs>, than <em> he that is </em><strongs number="4480 6141">perverse</strongs><em> in </em><em> his </em><strongs number="1870">ways</strongs>, though <strongs number="1931">he</strongs><em> be </em><strongs number="6223">rich</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='7'>Whoso <strongs number="5341">keepeth</strongs>the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs><em> is </em>a <strongs number="995">wise</strongs><strongs number="1121">son</strongs>: but he that is a <strongs number="7462">companion</strongs>of <strongs number="2151">riotous</strongs><em> men </em><strongs number="3637">shameth</strongs>his <strongs number="1">father</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='8'>He that by <strongs number="5392">usury</strongs>and unjust <strongs number="8636">gain</strongs><strongs number="7235">increaseth</strongs>his <strongs number="1952">substance</strongs>, he shall <strongs number="6908">gather</strongs>it for him that will <strongs number="2603">pity</strongs>the <strongs number="1800">poor</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='9'>He that turneth <strongs number="5493">away</strongs>his <strongs number="241">ear</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 8085">hearing</strongs>the <strongs number="8451">law</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">even</strongs>his <strongs number="8605">prayer</strongs><em> shall </em><em> be </em><strongs number="8441">abomination</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='10'>Whoso causeth the <strongs number="3477">righteous</strongs>to go <strongs number="7686">astray</strongs>in an <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="1870">way</strongs>, he shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs><strongs number="1931">himself</strongs>into his own <strongs number="7816">pit</strongs>: but the <strongs number="8549">upright</strongs>shall have <strongs number="2896">good</strongs><em> things </em>in <strongs number="5157">possession</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='11'>The <strongs number="6223">rich</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2450">wise</strongs>in his own <strongs number="5869">conceit</strongs>; but the <strongs number="1800">poor</strongs>that hath <strongs number="995">understanding</strongs>searcheth him <strongs number="2713">out</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='12'>When <strongs number="6662">righteous</strongs><em> men </em>do <strongs number="5970">rejoice</strongs>, <em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="8597">glory</strongs>: but when the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs><strongs number="6965">rise</strongs>, a <strongs number="120">man</strongs>is <strongs number="2664">hidden</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='13'>He that <strongs number="3680">covereth</strongs>his <strongs number="6588">sins</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6743">prosper</strongs>: but whoso <strongs number="3034">confesseth</strongs>and <strongs number="5800">forsaketh</strongs><em> them </em>shall have <strongs number="7355">mercy</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='14'><strongs number="835">Happy</strongs><em> is </em>the <strongs number="120">man</strongs>that <strongs number="6342">feareth</strongs><strongs number="8548">always</strongs>: but he that <strongs number="7185">hardeneth</strongs>his <strongs number="3820">heart</strongs>shall <strongs number="5307">fall</strongs>into <strongs number="7451">mischief</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='15'><em> As </em>a <strongs number="5098">roaring</strongs><strongs number="738">lion</strongs>, and a <strongs number="8264">ranging</strongs><strongs number="1677">bear</strongs>; <em> so </em><em> is </em>a <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs><strongs number="4910">ruler</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs>the <strongs number="1800">poor</strongs><strongs number="5971">people</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='16'>The <strongs number="5057">prince</strongs>that <strongs number="2638">wanteth</strongs><strongs number="8394">understanding</strongs><em> is </em>also a <strongs number="7227">great</strongs><strongs number="4642">oppressor</strongs>: <em> but </em>he that <strongs number="8130">hateth</strongs><strongs number="1215">covetousness</strongs>shall <strongs number="748">prolong</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='19'>He that <strongs number="5647">tilleth</strongs>his <strongs number="127">land</strongs>shall have <strongs number="7646">plenty</strongs>of <strongs number="3899">bread</strongs>: but he that <strongs number="7291">followeth</strongs>after <strongs number="7386">vain</strongs><em> persons </em>shall have <strongs number="7389">poverty</strongs><strongs number="7646">enough</strongs>. </verse>
<verse number='20'>A <strongs number="530">faithful</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>shall <strongs number="7227">abound</strongs>with <strongs number="1293">blessings</strongs>: but he that maketh <strongs number="213">haste</strongs>to be <strongs number="6238">rich</strongs>shall <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="5352">innocent</strongs>. </verse>

<verse number='22'><strongs number="376">He</strongs>that <strongs number="926">hasteth</strongs>to be <strongs number="1952">rich</strongs><em> hath </em>an <strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="5869">eye</strongs>, and <strongs number="3045">considereth</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="2639">poverty</strongs>shall come <strongs number="935">upon</strongs>him. </verse>
