      <verse number='1'>A <strongs number="4210">Psalm</strongs>of <strongs number="623">Asaph</strongs>. <strongs number="389">Truly</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>to <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <em> even </em>to such as are of a <strongs number="1249">clean</strongs><strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>But as for <strongs number="589">me</strongs>, my <strongs number="7272">feet</strongs>were <strongs number="4592">almost</strongs><strongs number="5186">gone</strongs>; my <strongs number="838">steps</strongs>had well <strongs number="369">nigh</strongs><strongs number="8210">slipped</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>I was <strongs number="7065">envious</strongs>at the <strongs number="1984">foolish</strongs>, <em> when </em>I <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>the <strongs number="7965">prosperity</strongs>of the <strongs number="7563">wicked</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs><em> there </em><em> are </em><strongs number="369">no</strongs><strongs number="2784">bands</strongs>in their <strongs number="4194">death</strongs>: but their <strongs number="193">strength</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="1277">firm</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'>They <em> are </em><strongs number="369">not</strongs>in <strongs number="5999">trouble</strongs><em> as </em><em> other </em><strongs number="582">men</strongs>; <strongs number="3808">neither</strongs>are they <strongs number="5060">plagued</strongs><strongs number="5973">like</strongs><em> other </em><strongs number="120">men</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs><strongs number="1346">pride</strongs>compasseth them about as a <strongs number="6059">chain</strongs>; <strongs number="2555">violence</strongs><strongs number="5848">covereth</strongs>them <em> as </em>a <strongs number="7897">garment</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>Their <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>stand <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>with <strongs number="4480 2459">fatness</strongs>: they have <strongs number="5674">more</strongs>than <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs>could <strongs number="4906">wish</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>They are <strongs number="4167">corrupt</strongs>, and <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="7451">wickedly</strongs><em> concerning </em><strongs number="6233">oppression</strongs>: they <strongs number="1696">speak</strongs><strongs number="4480 4791">loftily</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>They <strongs number="8371">set</strongs>their <strongs number="6310">mouth</strongs>against the <strongs number="8064">heavens</strongs>, and their <strongs number="3956">tongue</strongs><strongs number="1980">walketh</strongs>through the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'><strongs number="3651">Therefore</strongs>his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="7725">return</strongs><strongs number="1988">hither</strongs>: and <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>of a <strongs number="4392">full</strongs><em> cup </em>are wrung <strongs number="4680">out</strongs>to them. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>And they <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, <strongs number="349">How</strongs>doth <strongs number="410">God</strongs><strongs number="3045">know</strongs>? and is <strongs number="3426">there</strongs><strongs number="1844">knowledge</strongs>in the most <strongs number="5945">High</strongs>? </verse>
      <verse number='12'><strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, <strongs number="428">these</strongs><em> are </em>the <strongs number="7563">ungodly</strongs>, who <strongs number="7961">prosper</strongs>in the <strongs number="5769">world</strongs>; they <strongs number="7685">increase</strongs><em> in </em><strongs number="2428">riches</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'><strongs number="389">Verily</strongs>I have <strongs number="2135">cleansed</strongs>my <strongs number="3824">heart</strongs><em> in </em><strongs number="7385">vain</strongs>, and <strongs number="7364">washed</strongs>my <strongs number="3709">hands</strongs>in <strongs number="5356">innocency</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>For <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>long have I <strongs number="1961">been</strongs><strongs number="5060">plagued</strongs>, and <strongs number="8433">chastened</strongs>every <strongs number="1242">morning</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'><strongs number="518">If</strongs>I <strongs number="559">say</strongs>, I will <strongs number="5608">speak</strongs><strongs number="3644">thus</strongs>; <strongs number="2009">behold</strongs>, I should <strongs number="898">offend</strongs><em> against </em>the <strongs number="1755">generation</strongs>of thy <strongs number="1121">children</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='18'><strongs number="389">Surely</strongs>thou didst <strongs number="7896">set</strongs>them in slippery <strongs number="2513">places</strongs>: thou castedst them <strongs number="5307">down</strongs>into <strongs number="4876">destruction</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='19'><strongs number="349">How</strongs><strongs number="1961">are</strongs>they <em> brought </em>into <strongs number="8047">desolation</strongs>, as in a <strongs number="7281">moment</strongs>! they are utterly <strongs number="5486 8552">consumed</strongs><strongs number="4480">with</strongs><strongs number="1091">terrors</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='20'>As a <strongs number="2472">dream</strongs>when <em> one </em><strongs number="4480 6974">awaketh</strongs>; <em> so </em>, O <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs>, when thou <strongs number="5782">awakest</strongs>, thou shalt <strongs number="959">despise</strongs>their <strongs number="6754">image</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='23'>Nevertheless <strongs number="589">I</strongs><em> am </em><strongs number="8548">continually</strongs><strongs number="5973">with</strongs>thee: thou hast <strongs number="270">holden</strongs><em> me </em>by my <strongs number="3225">right</strongs><strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='27'><strongs number="3588">For</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">lo</strongs>, they that are <strongs number="7369">far</strongs>from thee shall <strongs number="6">perish</strongs>: thou hast <strongs number="6789">destroyed</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>them that go a <strongs number="2181">whoring</strongs><strongs number="4480">from</strongs>thee. </verse>
      <verse number='28'>But <strongs number="589">it</strongs><em> is </em><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>for me to draw <strongs number="7132">near</strongs>to <strongs number="430">God</strongs>: I have <strongs number="7896">put</strongs>my <strongs number="4268">trust</strongs>in the <strongs number="136">Lord</strongs><strongs number="3069">GOD</strongs>, that I may <strongs number="5608">declare</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs>thy <strongs number="4399">works</strongs>. </verse>
