      <verse number='1'>Again there <strongs number="1961">was</strongs>a <strongs number="3117">day</strongs>when the <strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>to present <strongs number="3320">themselves</strongs><strongs number="5921">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="7854">Satan</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="1571">also</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>them to present <strongs number="3320">himself</strongs><strongs number="5921">before</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="7854">Satan</strongs>, From <strongs number="335 4480 2088">whence</strongs><strongs number="935">comest</strongs>thou? And <strongs number="7854">Satan</strongs><strongs number="6030">answered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, From going to and <strongs number="4480 7751">fro</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, and from walking up and <strongs number="4480 1980">down</strongs>in it. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="7854">Satan</strongs>, Hast thou <strongs number="7760 3820 413">considered</strongs>my <strongs number="5650">servant</strongs><strongs number="347">Job</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">that</strongs><em> there </em><em> is </em><strongs number="369">none</strongs>like <strongs number="3644">him</strongs>in the <strongs number="776">earth</strongs>, a <strongs number="8535">perfect</strongs>and an <strongs number="3477">upright</strongs><strongs number="376">man</strongs>, one that <strongs number="3373">feareth</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="5493">escheweth</strongs><strongs number="4480 7451">evil</strongs>? and <strongs number="5750">still</strongs>he holdeth <strongs number="2388">fast</strongs>his <strongs number="8538">integrity</strongs>, although thou <strongs number="5496">movedst</strongs>me against him, to <strongs number="1104">destroy</strongs>him without <strongs number="2600">cause</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='4'>And <strongs number="7854">Satan</strongs><strongs number="6030">answered</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="559">said</strongs>, Skin for <strongs number="5785 1157 5785">skin</strongs>, yea, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>hath will he <strongs number="5414">give</strongs><strongs number="1157">for</strongs>his <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='5'><strongs number="199">But</strongs>put <strongs number="7971">forth</strongs>thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs><strongs number="4994">now</strongs>, and <strongs number="5060 413">touch</strongs>his <strongs number="6106">bone</strongs>and his <strongs number="1320">flesh</strongs>, <strongs number="518">and</strongs>he will <strongs number="1288">curse</strongs>thee <strongs number="413">to</strongs>thy <strongs number="6440">face</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='6'>And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="7854">Satan</strongs>, <strongs number="2009">Behold</strongs>, he <em> is </em>in thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>; <strongs number="389">but</strongs><strongs number="8104">save</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>his <strongs number="5315">life</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='7'>So went Satan <strongs number="3318 7854">forth</strongs><strongs number="4480 854">from</strongs>the <strongs number="6440">presence</strongs>of the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>, and <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="347">Job</strongs>with <strongs number="7451">sore</strongs><strongs number="7822">boils</strongs>from the <strongs number="4480 3709">sole</strongs>of his <strongs number="7272">foot</strongs><strongs number="5704">unto</strongs>his <strongs number="6936">crown</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And he <strongs number="3947">took</strongs>him a <strongs number="2789">potsherd</strongs>to scrape <strongs number="1623">himself</strongs>withal; and <strongs number="1931">he</strongs>sat <strongs number="3427">down</strongs><strongs number="8432">among</strongs>the <strongs number="665">ashes</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>Then <strongs number="559">said</strongs>his <strongs number="802">wife</strongs>unto him, Dost thou <strongs number="5750">still</strongs><strongs number="2388">retain</strongs>thine <strongs number="8538">integrity</strongs>? <strongs number="1288">curse</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and <strongs number="4191">die</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>But he <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>her, Thou <strongs number="1696">speakest</strongs>as <strongs number="259">one</strongs>of the foolish <strongs number="5036">women</strongs><strongs number="1696">speaketh</strongs>. <strongs number="1571">What</strongs>? shall we <strongs number="6901">receive</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="2896">good</strongs>at the <strongs number="4480 854">hand</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, and shall we <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="6901">receive</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>? In <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs>did <strongs number="3808">not</strongs><strongs number="347">Job</strongs><strongs number="2398">sin</strongs>with his <strongs number="8193">lips</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>Now when <strongs number="347">Job</strongs>'s <strongs number="7969">three</strongs><strongs number="7453">friends</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>of <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="2063">this</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs>that was <strongs number="935">come</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>him, they <strongs number="935">came</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>from his own <strongs number="4480 4725">place</strongs>; <strongs number="464">Eliphaz</strongs>the <strongs number="8489">Temanite</strongs>, and <strongs number="1085">Bildad</strongs>the <strongs number="7747">Shuhite</strongs>, and <strongs number="6691">Zophar</strongs>the <strongs number="5284">Naamathite</strongs>: for they had made an <strongs number="3259">appointment</strongs><strongs number="3162">together</strongs>to <strongs number="935">come</strongs>to <strongs number="5110">mourn</strongs>with him and to <strongs number="5162">comfort</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And when they lifted <strongs number="5375">up</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="5869">eyes</strongs>afar <strongs number="4480 7350">off</strongs>, and <strongs number="5234">knew</strongs>him <strongs number="3808">not</strongs>, they lifted <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>their <strongs number="6963">voice</strongs>, and <strongs number="1058">wept</strongs>; and they <strongs number="7167">rent</strongs>every <strongs number="376">one</strongs>his <strongs number="4598">mantle</strongs>, and <strongs number="2236">sprinkled</strongs><strongs number="6083">dust</strongs><strongs number="5921">upon</strongs>their <strongs number="7218">heads</strongs>toward <strongs number="8064">heaven</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>So they sat <strongs number="3427">down</strongs><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him upon the <strongs number="776">ground</strongs><strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="3117">days</strongs>and <strongs number="7651">seven</strongs><strongs number="3915">nights</strongs>, and <strongs number="369">none</strongs><strongs number="1696">spoke</strongs>a <strongs number="1697">word</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs>him: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="7200">saw</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><em> his </em><strongs number="3511">grief</strongs>was very <strongs number="1431 3966">great</strongs>. </verse>
