      <verse number='1'>Now <strongs number="2438">Hiram</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs>of <strongs number="6865">Tyre</strongs><strongs number="7971">sent</strongs><strongs number="4397">messengers</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, and <strongs number="6086">timber</strongs>of <strongs number="730">cedars</strongs>, with <strongs number="2796 7023">masons</strongs>and <strongs number="2796 6086">carpenters</strongs>, to <strongs number="1129">build</strongs>him a <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='2'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3045">perceived</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs>the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="3559">confirmed</strongs>him <strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>his <strongs number="4438">kingdom</strongs>was lifted <strongs number="5375">up</strongs>on <strongs number="4605">high</strongs>, because <strongs number="5668">of</strongs>his <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='3'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3947">took</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="802">wives</strongs>at <strongs number="3389">Jerusalem</strongs>: and <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="3205">begot</strongs><strongs number="5750">more</strongs><strongs number="1121">sons</strongs>and <strongs number="1323">daughters</strongs>. </verse>

      <verse number='6'>And <strongs number="5052">Nogah</strongs>, and <strongs number="5298">Nepheg</strongs>, and <strongs number="3309">Japhia</strongs>, </verse>
      <verse number='7'>And <strongs number="476">Elishama</strongs>, and <strongs number="1182">Beeliada</strongs>, and <strongs number="467">Eliphalet</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='8'>And when the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><strongs number="3588">that</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>was <strongs number="4886">anointed</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="5921">over</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>, <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>went <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to <strongs number="1245">seek</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>. And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="8085">heard</strongs><em> of </em><em> it </em>, and went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs><strongs number="6440">against</strongs>them. </verse>
      <verse number='9'>And the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="935">came</strongs>and <strongs number="6584">spread</strongs>themselves in the <strongs number="6010">valley</strongs>of <strongs number="7497">Rephaim</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='10'>And <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="7592">inquired</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, Shall I go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs><strongs number="5921">against</strongs>the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>? and wilt thou <strongs number="5414">deliver</strongs>them into mine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>? And the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him, Go <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>; for I will <strongs number="5414">deliver</strongs>them into thine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='11'>So they came <strongs number="5927">up</strongs>to <strongs number="1188">Baal</strongs>-perazim; and <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="5221">smote</strongs>them <strongs number="8033">there</strongs>. Then <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>, <strongs number="430">God</strongs>hath broken <strongs number="6555">in</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>upon mine <strongs number="341">enemies</strongs>by mine <strongs number="3027">hand</strongs>like the breaking <strongs number="6556">forth</strongs>of <strongs number="4325">waters</strongs>: <strongs number="5921 3651">therefore</strongs>they <strongs number="7121">called</strongs>the <strongs number="8034">name</strongs>of <strongs number="1931">that</strongs><strongs number="4725">place</strongs><strongs number="1188">Baal</strongs>-perazim. </verse>
      <verse number='12'>And when they had <strongs number="5800">left</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>their <strongs number="430">gods</strongs><strongs number="8033">there</strongs>, <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>gave a <strongs number="559">commandment</strongs>, and they were <strongs number="8313">burned</strongs>with <strongs number="784">fire</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='13'>And the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs><strongs number="5750">yet</strongs><strongs number="3254">again</strongs>spread themselves <strongs number="6584">abroad</strongs>in the <strongs number="6010">valley</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='14'>Therefore <strongs number="1732">David</strongs><strongs number="7592">inquired</strongs><strongs number="5750">again</strongs>of <strongs number="430">God</strongs>; and <strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto him Go not <strongs number="3808 5927">up</strongs><strongs number="310">after</strongs>them; turn <strongs number="5437">away</strongs><strongs number="4480 5921">from</strongs>them, and <strongs number="935">come</strongs>upon them over <strongs number="4480 4136">against</strongs>the mulberry <strongs number="1057">trees</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>And it shall <strongs number="1961">be</strongs>, when thou shalt <strongs number="8085">hear</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>a <strongs number="6963">sound</strongs>of <strongs number="6807">going</strongs>in the <strongs number="7218">tops</strongs>of the mulberry <strongs number="1057">trees</strongs>, <em> that </em><strongs number="227">then</strongs>thou shalt go <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>to <strongs number="4421">battle</strongs>: <strongs number="3588">for</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs>is gone <strongs number="3318">forth</strongs><strongs number="6440">before</strongs>thee to <strongs number="5221">smite</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4264">host</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>therefore <strongs number="6213">did</strongs><strongs number="834">as</strongs><strongs number="430">God</strongs><strongs number="6680">commanded</strongs>him: and they <strongs number="5221">smote</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="4264">host</strongs>of the <strongs number="6430">Philistines</strongs>from <strongs number="4480 1391">Gibeon</strongs>even <strongs number="5704">to</strongs><strongs number="1507">Gazer</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>And the <strongs number="8034">fame</strongs>of <strongs number="1732">David</strongs>went <strongs number="3318">out</strongs>into <strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="776">lands</strongs>; and the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs><strongs number="5414">brought</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="6343">fear</strongs>of him <strongs number="5921">upon</strongs><strongs number="3605">all</strongs><strongs number="1471">nations</strongs>. </verse>
