For the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>had <strongs number="6680">appointed</strongs>to <strongs number="6565">defeat</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs>the <strongs number="2896">good</strongs><strongs number="6098">counsel</strongs>of <strongs number="302">Ahithophel</strongs>, to the <strongs number="5668">intent</strongs>that the <strongs number="3068">LORD</strongs>might <strongs number="935">bring</strongs><strongs number="7451">evil</strongs><strongs number="413">upon</strongs><strongs number="53">Absalom</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='15'>Then <strongs number="559">said</strongs><strongs number="2365">Hushai</strongs><strongs number="413">unto</strongs><strongs number="6659">Zadok</strongs>and <strongs number="413">to</strongs><strongs number="54">Abiathar</strongs>the <strongs number="3548">priests</strongs>, <strongs number="2063">Thus</strongs>and <strongs number="2063">thus</strongs>did <strongs number="302">Ahithophel</strongs><strongs number="3289">counsel</strongs><strongs number="*853"></strongs><strongs number="53">Absalom</strongs>and the <strongs number="2205">elders</strongs>of <strongs number="3478">Israel</strongs>; and <strongs number="2063">thus</strongs>and <strongs number="2063">thus</strongs>have <strongs number="589">I</strongs><strongs number="3289">counseled</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='16'><strongs number="6258">Now</strongs>therefore <strongs number="7971">send</strongs><strongs number="4120">quickly</strongs>, and <strongs number="5046">tell</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>, <strongs number="559">saying</strongs>, <strongs number="3885">Lodge</strongs><strongs number="408">not</strongs>this <strongs number="3915">night</strongs>in the <strongs number="6160">plains</strongs>of the <strongs number="4057">wilderness</strongs>, <strongs number="1571">but</strongs><strongs number="5674">speedily</strongs>pass <strongs number="5674">over</strongs>; <strongs number="6435">lest</strongs>the <strongs number="4428">king</strongs>be swallowed <strongs number="1104">up</strongs>, and <strongs number="3605">all</strongs>the <strongs number="5971">people</strongs><strongs number="834">that</strongs><em> are </em><strongs number="854">with</strongs>him. </verse>
      <verse number='17'>Now <strongs number="3083">Jonathan</strongs>and <strongs number="290">Ahimaaz</strongs><strongs number="5975">stayed</strongs>by <strongs number="5883">En</strongs>-rogel; <strongs number="3588">for</strongs>they <strongs number="3201">might</strongs><strongs number="3808">not</strongs>be <strongs number="7200">seen</strongs>to <strongs number="935">come</strongs>into the <strongs number="5892">city</strongs>: and a <strongs number="8198">wench</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>and <strongs number="5046">told</strongs>them; and <strongs number="1992">they</strongs><strongs number="1980">went</strongs>and <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="4428">king</strongs><strongs number="1732">David</strongs>. </verse>
      <verse number='18'>Nevertheless a <strongs number="5288">lad</strongs><strongs number="7200">saw</strongs>them, and <strongs number="5046">told</strongs><strongs number="53">Absalom</strongs>: but they <strongs number="1980">went</strongs><strongs number="8147">both</strongs>of them away <strongs number="4120">quickly</strongs>, and <strongs number="935">came</strongs><strongs number="413">to</strongs>a <strongs number="376">man</strongs>'s <strongs number="1004">house</strongs>in <strongs number="980">Bahurim</strongs>, which had a <strongs number="875">well</strongs>in his <strongs number="2691">court</strongs>; <strongs number="8033">whither</strongs>they went <strongs number="3381">down</strongs>. </verse>

And the <strongs number="802">woman</strongs><strongs number="559">said</strongs>unto them, They be gone <strongs number="5674">over</strongs>the <strongs number="4323">brook</strongs>of <strongs number="4325">water</strongs>.
