Andhe beganagainto teachbythesea side: andthere was gathereduntohima greatmultitude, so thatheenteredintoa ship, and satinthesea; andthewholemultitudewasbytheseaontheland. Andhe taughtthemmany thingsbyparables, andsaidunto theminhisdoctrine, Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: And it came to pass, as he sowed, somefellbythe way side, andthefowls of theaircameand devoured it up. Andsomefellon stony ground, where it hadnotmuchearth; andimmediately it sprang up, because it hadnodepth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it hadnoroot, it withered away. Andsomefellamongthorns, andthethorns grew up, andchokedit, and it yieldednofruit. Andotherfellongoodground, and did yieldfruit that sprang upandincreased; and brought forth, somethirty, andsomesixty, andsome a hundred. Andhe saidunto them, He that hathears to hear, let him hear. Andwhenhe wasalone, theythat were abouthimwiththetwelveaskedof himtheparable. Andhe saidunto them, Unto you it is given to knowthemystery of thekingdom of God: but unto themthat are without, all these things are doneinparables: Thatseeing they may see, andnotperceive; andhearing they may hear, andnotunderstand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiventhem. Andhe saidunto them, Know ye notthisparable? andhow then will ye knowallparables? Thesowersoweththeword. Andthesearetheybythe way side, wheretheword is sown; butwhen they have heard, Satancomethimmediately, and taketh awaytheword that was sownintheirhearts. Andtheseare they likewise which are sownon stony ground; who, when they have heardtheword, immediatelyreceiveitwithgladness; Andhavenorootinthemselves, andso endure but for a time: afterward, when afflictionorpersecutionariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. Andtheseare they which are sownamongthorns; such as heartheword, Andthecares of thisworld, andthedeceitfulness of riches, andthelustsof other things entering in, choketheword, and it becomethunfruitful. Andtheseare they which are sownongoodground; such asheartheword, andreceive it, and bring forth fruit, somethirtyfold, somesixty, andsome a hundred. Andhe saidunto them, Is acandlebroughtto be putunder a bushel, orunder a bed? and notto be seton a candlestick? For there isnothinghid, which shall not be manifested; neitherwas any thing kept secret, butthat it should comeabroad. If any manhaveears to hear, let him hear. Andhe saidunto them, Take heedwhat ye hear: withwhatmeasure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. Forhe that hath, to him shall be given: andhe that hathnot, fromhim shall be takeneven that which he hath. Andhe said, Soisthekingdom of God, asif a man should castseedintotheground; And should sleep, andrisenightandday, andtheseed should springand grow up, heknowethnothow. Fortheearth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that thefullcornintheear. Butwhenthefruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth inthesickle, becausetheharvest is come. Andhe said, Whereunto shall we likenthekingdom of God? orwithwhatcomparison shall we compareit? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sownintheearth, isless than alltheseedsthatbeintheearth: Butwhen it is sown, it groweth up, andbecomethgreater than allherbs, and shooteth outgreatbranches; so thatthefowls of theairmaylodgeundertheshadow of it. Andwith manysuchparablesspakehe thewordunto them, asthey were ableto hear it. Butwithouta parablespakehe notunto them: andwhen they were alone, he expoundedall thingsto hisdisciples. Andthesameday, when the evenwas come, he saithunto them, Let us pass overuntothe other side. Andwhen they had sent awaythemultitude, they tookhimeven ashe wasintheship. Andthere werealsowithhimotherlittle ships. Andthere arosea greatstormof wind, andthewavesbeatintotheship, so thatitwas now full. Andhewasinthehinder part of the ship, asleepona pillow: andthey awakehim, andsayunto him, Master, carestthounotthatwe perish? Andhe arose, and rebukedthewind, andsaidunto thesea, Peace, be still. Andthewindceased, andthere wasa greatcalm. Andhe saidunto them, Whyare ye sofearful? how is it that ye havenofaith? Andthey fearedexceedingly, andsaidone to another, What manner of manisthis, thateventhewindandtheseaobeyhim?
