I will standuponmy watch, and setme uponthe tower, and will watchto seewhathe will sayunto me, and whatI shall answerwhenI am reproved. And the LORDansweredme, and said, Writethe vision, and make it plainupontables, thathe may runthat readethit. Forthe vision is yetfor an appointed time, but at the endit shall speak, and notlie: thoughit tarry, waitfor it; becauseit will surely come, it will nottarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted upis not uprightin him: but the justshall liveby his faith. Yeaalso, becausehe transgressethby wine, he is a proudman, neitherkeepeth at home, whoenlargethhis desireas hell, and is as death, and cannotbe satisfied, but gatherethuntohim allnations, and heapethuntohim allpeople: Shall notallthesetake upa parableagainsthim, and a tauntingproverbagainst him, and say, Woeto him that increaseth that which is nothis! how long? and to him that ladethhimself with thick clay! Shall they notrise upsuddenlythat shall bitethee, and awakethat shall vexthee, and thou shalt befor bootiesunto them? Becausethouhast spoiledmanynations, allthe remnantof the peopleshall spoilthee; because of men's blood, and for the violenceof the land, of the city, and of allthat dwelltherein. Woeto him that covetethan evilcovetousnessto his house, that he may sethis neston high, that he may be deliveredfrom the powerof evil! Thou hast consultedshameto thy houseby cutting offmanypeople, and hast sinned against thy soul. Forthe stoneshall cry outof the wall, and the beamout of the timbershall answerit. Woeto him that buildetha townwith blood, and establishetha cityby iniquity! Behold, is it notofthe LORDof hoststhat the peopleshall laborin the veryfire, and the peopleshall wearythemselves for veryvanity? Forthe earthshall be filledwith the knowledgeof the gloryof the LORD, as the waterscoverthe sea. Woeunto him that giveth his neighbor drink, that puttestthy bottleto him , and makest him drunkenalso, thatthou mayest lookontheir nakedness! Thou art filledwith shamefor glory: drinkthoualso, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cupof the LORD's right handshall be turneduntothee, and shameful spewing shall be onthy glory. Forthe violenceof Lebanonshall coverthee, and the spoilof beasts, which made them afraid, because of men's blood, and for the violenceof the land, of the city, and of allthat dwelltherein. Whatprofiteththe graven imagethatthe makerthereof hath gravenit; the molten image, and a teacherof lies, thatthe makerof his worktrusteththerein, to makedumbidols? Woeunto him that saithto the wood, Awake; to the dumbstone, Arise, itshall teach! Behold, it is laid overwith goldand silver, and there is nobreathat allin the midstof it. But the LORD is in his holytemple: let allthe earthkeep silencebeforehim.
