And thou, sonof man, takethee a sharpknife, takethee a barber's razor, and cause it to passuponthine headand uponthy beard: then takethee balancesto weigh, and dividethe hair . Thou shalt burnwith firea third partin the midstof the city, when the daysof the siegeare fulfilled: and thou shalt takea third part, and smiteaboutit with a knife: and a third partthou shalt scatterin the wind; and I will draw outa swordafterthem. Thou shalt also takethereofa fewin number, and bindthem in thy skirts. Then takeofthem again, and castthem intothe midstof the fire, and burnthem in the fire; for thereofshall a firecome forthintoallthe houseof Israel. Thussaiththe LordGOD; This is Jerusalem: I have setit in the midstof the nationsand countries that are round abouther. And she hath changedmy judgmentsinto wickednessmore thanthe nations, and my statutesmore thanthe countriesthat are round abouther: forthey have refusedmy judgmentsand my statutes, they have notwalkedin them. Thereforethussaiththe LordGOD; Becauseye multipliedmore thanthe nationsthat are round aboutyou, and have notwalkedin my statutes, neitherhave keptmy judgments, neitherhave doneaccording to the judgmentsof the nationsthat are round aboutyou; Thereforethussaiththe LordGOD; Behold, I, evenI, am againstthee, and will executejudgmentsin the midstof thee in the sightof the nations. And I will doin thee that whichI have notdone, and whereuntoI will notdoany morethe like, because ofallthine abominations. Thereforethe fathersshall eatthe sonsin the midstof thee, and the sonsshall eattheir fathers; and I will executejudgmentsin thee, and the wholeremnantof thee will I scatterinto allthe winds. Wherefore, as Ilive, saiththe LordGOD; Surely, becausethou hast defiledmy sanctuarywith allthy detestable things, and with allthine abominations, thereforewill Ialso diminish thee ; neithershall mine eyespare, neitherwill Ihave any pity. A third partof thee shall diewith the pestilence, and with famineshall they be consumedin the midstof thee: and a third partshall fallby the swordround aboutthee; and I will scattera third partinto allthe winds, and I will draw outa swordafterthem. Thus shall mine angerbe accomplished, and I will cause my furyto restupon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall knowthatIthe LORDhave spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplishedmy furyin them. Moreover I will makethee waste, and a reproachamong the nationsthat are round aboutthee, in the sightof allthat pass by. So it shall bea reproachand a taunt, an instructionand an astonishmentunto the nationsthat are round aboutthee, when I shall executejudgmentsin thee in angerand in furyand in furiousrebukes. Ithe LORDhave spoken it . When I shall sendupon them the evilarrowsof famine, whichshall befor their destruction, and whichI will sendto destroyyou: and I will increasethe famineuponyou, and will breakyour staffof bread: So will I senduponyou famineand evilbeasts, and they shall bereavethee; and pestilenceand bloodshall passthrough thee; and I will bringthe sworduponthee. Ithe LORDhave spoken it .
