And they shall destroythe wallsof Tyrus, and break downher towers: I will also scrapeher dustfromher, and makeher like the topof a rock. It shall be a place for the spreadingof netsin the midstof the sea: forIhave spoken it , saiththe LordGOD: and it shall becomea spoilto the nations. And her daughterswhich are in the fieldshall be slainby the sword; and they shall knowthatI am the LORD. And he shall setenginesof waragainst thy walls, and with his axeshe shall break downthy towers. By reason of the abundanceof his horsestheir dustshall coverthee: thy wallsshall shakeat the noiseof the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enterinto thy gates, as men enter intoa citywherein is made a breach. Thussaiththe LordGODto Tyrus; Shall notthe islesshakeat the soundof thy fall, when the woundedcry, when the slaughteris madein the midstof thee? Then allthe princesof the seashall come downfromtheir thrones, and lay awaytheir robes, and put offtheir embroideredgarments: they shall clothethemselves with trembling; they shall situponthe ground, and shall trembleat every moment, and be astonishedatthee. And they shall take upa lamentationforthee, and sayto thee, Howart thou destroyed, that wast inhabitedof seafaring men, the renownedcity, whichwaststrongin the sea, sheand her inhabitants, whichcausetheir terror to be on allthat hauntit!
