Then I looked, and, behold, inthe firmamentthatwas abovethe headof the cherubimsthere appearedoverthem as it were a sapphirestone, as the appearanceof the likenessof a throne. And he spokeuntothe manclothedwith linen, and said, Go inbetweenthe wheels, even underthe cherub, and fillthine handwith coalsof firefrom betweenthe cherubims, and scatter them overthe city. And he wentin in my sight. Now the cherubimsstoodon the right sideof the house, when the manwent in; and the cloudfilledthe innercourt. Then the gloryof the LORDwent upfromthe cherub, and stood overthe thresholdof the house; and the housewas filledwiththe cloud, and the courtwas fullofthe brightnessof the LORD's glory. And the soundof the cherubims' wingswas heard even tothe outercourt, as the voiceof the AlmightyGodwhen he speaketh. And it came to pass, that when he had commandedthe manclothedwith linen, saying, Takefirefrom betweenthe wheels, from betweenthe cherubims; then he went in, and stoodbesidethe wheels. And one cherubstretched forthhis handfrom betweenthe cherubimsuntothe firethat was betweenthe cherubims, and took thereof , and put it intothe handsof him that was clothedwith linen: who took it , and went out. And there appearedin the cherubimsthe formof a man's handundertheir wings. And when I looked, beholdthe fourwheelsbythe cherubims, onewheelbyonecherub, and anotherwheelbyanothercherub: and the appearanceof the wheels was as the colorof a berylstone. And as for their appearances, they fourhad onelikeness, as ifa wheelhad beenin the midstof a wheel. When they went, they wentupontheir foursides; they turnednotas they went, butto the placewhitherthe headlookedthey followedit; they turnednotas they went. And their wholebody, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were fullof eyesround about, even the wheelsthat they fourhad. As for the wheels, it was criedunto them in my hearing, O wheel. And every onehad fourfaces: the firstface was the faceof a cherub, and the secondface was the faceof a man, and the thirdthe faceof a lion, and the fourththe faceof an eagle. And the cherubimswere lifted up. This is the living creaturethatI sawby the riverof Chebar. And when the cherubimswent, the wheelswentbythem: and when the cherubimslifted uptheir wingsto mount upfromthe earth, the samewheelsalsoturnednotfrom besidethem. When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted upthemselves also : forthe spiritof the living creature was in them. Then the gloryof the LORDdepartedfrom offthe thresholdof the house, and stoodoverthe cherubims. And the cherubimslifted uptheir wings, and mounted upfromthe earthin my sight: when they went out, the wheelsalso were besidethem, and every one stoodat the doorof the eastgateof the LORD's house; and the gloryof the Godof Israel was overthem above. This is the living creaturethatI sawunderthe Godof Israelby the riverof Chebar; and I knewthatthey were the cherubims. Every onehad four faces apiece, and every onefourwings; and the likenessof the handsof a man was undertheir wings. And the likenessof their faces was the samefaceswhichI sawbythe riverof Chebar, their appearancesand themselves: they wentevery onestraight forward.
