Forthussaiththe LORDof hosts, the Godof Israel; Behold, I will cause to ceaseout ofthisplacein your eyes, and in your days, the voiceof mirth, and the voiceof gladness, the voiceof the bridegroom, and the voiceof the bride. And it shall come to pass, whenthou shalt showthispeopleallthesewords, and they shall sayuntothee, Whereforehath the LORDpronouncedallthisgreatevilagainstus? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sinthatwe have committedagainst the LORDour God? Then shalt thou sayuntothem, Becauseyour fathershave forsakenme, saiththe LORD, and have walkedafterothergods, and have servedthem, and have worshipedthem, and have forsakenme, and have notkeptmy law; And yehave doneworsethan your fathers; for, behold, ye walkevery oneafterthe imaginationof his evilheart, that they may nothearkenuntome: Therefore will I castyou out ofthislandintoa landthatye knownot, neither yenor your fathers; and thereshall ye serveothergodsdayand night; whereI will notshowyou favor. Therefore, behold, the dayscome, saiththe LORD, that it shall nomorebe said, The LORDliveth, thatbrought upthe childrenof Israelout of the landof Egypt; But, The LORDliveth, thatbrought upthe childrenof Israelfrom the landof the north, and from allthe landswhitherhe had driventhem: and I will bring them againintotheir landthatI gaveunto their fathers. Formine eyes are uponalltheir ways: they are nothidfrom my face, neitheris their iniquityhidfrommine eyes. And firstI will recompensetheir iniquityand their sindouble; becausethey have defiledmy land, they have filledmine inheritancewith the carcassesof their detestableand abominable things. O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refugein the dayof affliction, the Gentilesshall comeuntothee from the endsof the earth, and shall say, Surelyour fathershave inheritedlies, vanity, and things wherein there is noprofit. Shall a manmakegodsunto himself, and they are nogods? Therefore, behold, I will thisoncecause them to know, I will cause them to knowmine handand my might; and they shall knowthatmy name is The LORD.
