O LORD, thou art my God; I will exaltthee, I will praisethy name; forthou hast donewonderful things; thy counselsof old are faithfulness and truth. Forthou hast madeof a citya heap; of a defensedcitya ruin: a palaceof strangersto be no city; it shall neverbe built. Thereforeshall the strongpeopleglorifythee, the cityof the terriblenationsshall fearthee. Forthou hast beena strengthto the poor, a strengthto the needyin his distress, a refugefrom the storm, a shadowfrom the heat, whenthe blastof the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. Thou shalt bring downthe noiseof strangers, as the heatin a dry place; even the heatwith the shadowof a cloud: the branchof the terrible onesshall be brought low. And in thismountainshall the LORDof hostsmakeunto allpeoplea feastof fat things, a feastof wines on the lees, of fat thingsfull of marrow, of wines on the leeswell refined. And he will destroyin thismountainthe faceof the coveringcastoverallpeople, and the veilthat is spreadoverallnations. He will swallow updeathin victory; and the LordGODwill wipe awaytearsfrom offallfaces; and the rebukeof his peopleshall he take awayfrom offallthe earth: forthe LORDhath spoken it . And it shall be saidin thatday, Lo, this is our God; we have waitedfor him, and he will saveus: this is the LORD; we have waitedfor him, we will be gladand rejoicein his salvation. Forin thismountainshall the handof the LORDrest, and Moabshall be trodden downunderhim, even as strawis trodden downfor the dunghill. And he shall spread forthhis handsin the midstof them, ashe that swimmethspreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring downtheir pridetogether withthe spoilsof their hands. And the fortressof the high fortof thy wallsshall he bring down, lay low, and bringto the ground, even tothe dust.
