The morsel which thou hast eatenshalt thou vomit up, and losethy sweetwords. Speaknotin the earsof a fool: forhe will despisethe wisdomof thy words. Removenotthe oldlandmark; and enternotinto the fieldsof the fatherless: Fortheir redeemer is mighty; heshall pleadtheir causewiththee. Applythine heartunto instruction, and thine earsto the wordsof knowledge. Withholdnotcorrectionfrom the child: for if thou beatesthim with the rod, he shall notdie. Thoushalt beathim with the rod, and shalt deliverhis soulfrom hell. My son, ifthine heartbe wise, my heartshall rejoice, evenmine. Yea, my reinsshall rejoice, when thy lipsspeakright things. Let notthine heartenvysinners: but be thou in the fearof the LORDallthe daylong. Forsurelythere isan end; and thine expectationshall notbe cut off. Hearthou, my son, and be wise, and guidethine heartin the way. Benotamong winebibbers; among riotous eatersof flesh: Forthe drunkardand the gluttonshall come to poverty: and drowsinessshall clothe a man with rags. Hearkenunto thy fatherthatbegotthee, and despisenotthy motherwhenshe is old. Buythe truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. The fatherof the righteousshall greatly rejoice: and he that begettetha wise child shall have joyof him. Thy fatherand thy mothershall be glad, and she that borethee shall rejoice. My son, giveme thine heart, and let thine eyesobservemy ways. Fora whore is a deepditch; and a strangewoman is a narrowpit.
