Whoso despiseththe wordshall be destroyed: but hethat feareththe commandmentshall be rewarded. The lawof the wise is a fountainof life, to departfrom the snaresof death. Goodunderstandinggivethfavor: but the wayof transgressors is hard. Everyprudent man dealethwith knowledge: but a foollayeth open his folly. A wickedmessengerfallethinto mischief: but a faithfulambassador is health. Povertyand shame shall be to him that refusethinstruction: but he that regardethreproofshall be honored. The desireaccomplishedis sweetto the soul: but it is abominationto foolsto departfrom evil. He that walkethwithwise men shall be wise: but a companionof foolsshall be destroyed. Evilpursuethsinners: but to the righteousgoodshall be repaid. A good man leaveth an inheritanceto his children's children: and the wealthof the sinner is laid upfor the just. Muchfood is in the tillageof the poor: but there is that is destroyedfor wantof judgment. He that sparethhis rodhatethhis son: but he that lovethhim chastenethhim quickly.
