And Iwill hardenPharaoh's heart, and multiplymy signsand my wondersin the landof Egypt. But Pharaohshall nothearkenuntoyou, that I may laymy handupon Egypt, and bring forthmine armies, and my peoplethe childrenof Israel, out of the landof Egyptby greatjudgments. And the Egyptiansshall knowthatI am the LORD, when I stretch forthmine handuponEgypt, and bring outthe childrenof Israelfrom amongthem. And Mosesand Aarondidasthe LORDcommandedthem, sodidthey. And Moses was fourscoreyearsold, and Aaronfourscoreand threeyearsold, when they spokeuntoPharaoh. And the LORDspokeuntoMosesand untoAaron, saying, WhenPharaohshall speakuntoyou, saying, Showa miraclefor you: then thou shalt sayuntoAaron, Takethy rod, and cast it beforePharaoh, and it shall becomea serpent. And Mosesand Aaronwent inuntoPharaoh, and they didsoasthe LORDhad commanded: and Aaroncast downhis rodbeforePharaoh, and beforehis servants, and it becamea serpent. Then Pharaohalsocalledthe wise menand the sorcerers: now the magiciansof Egypt, theyalsodidin like mannerwith their enchantments. For they cast downevery manhis rod, and they becameserpents: but Aaron's rodswallowed uptheir rods. And he hardenedPharaoh's heart, that he hearkenednotuntothem; asthe LORDhad said. And the LORDsaiduntoMoses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refusethto let the peoplego. Getthee untoPharaohin the morning; lo, he goeth outunto the water; and thou shalt standbythe river's brinkagainst he come; and the rodwhichwas turnedto a serpentshalt thou takein thine hand. And thou shalt sayuntohim, The LORDGodof the Hebrewshath sentme untothee, saying, Let my peoplego, that they may serveme in the wilderness: and, behold, hithertothou wouldest nothear. Thussaiththe LORD, In thisthou shalt knowthatI am the LORD: behold, Iwill smitewith the rodthat is in mine handuponthe waterswhich are in the river, and they shall be turnedto blood. And the fishthat is in the rivershall die, and the rivershall stink; and the Egyptiansshall loatheto drinkof the waterofthe river. And the LORDspokeuntoMoses, SayuntoAaron, Takethy rod, and stretch outthine handuponthe watersof Egypt, upontheir streams, upontheir rivers, and upontheir ponds, and uponalltheir poolsof water, that they may becomeblood; and that there may bebloodthroughout allthe landof Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone. And Mosesand Aarondidso, asthe LORDcommanded; and he lifted upthe rod, and smotethe watersthat were in the river, in the sightof Pharaoh, and in the sightof his servants; and allthe watersthat were in the riverwere turnedto blood. And the fishthat was in the riverdied; and the riverstank, and the Egyptianscouldnotdrinkof the waterofthe river; and there wasbloodthroughout allthe landof Egypt. And the magiciansof Egyptdidsowith their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heartwas hardened, neitherdid he hearkenuntothem; asthe LORDhad said. And Pharaohturnedand wentintohis house, neitherdid he sethis heartto thisalso. And allthe Egyptiansdiggedround aboutthe riverfor waterto drink; forthey couldnotdrinkof the waterof the river. And sevendayswere fulfilled, afterthat the LORDhad smittenthe river.
