And the LORDsaiduntoMoses, Hewthee twotablesof stonelike unto the first: and I will writeupon these tablesthe wordsthatwereinthe firsttables, whichthou didst break. And bereadyin the morning, and come upin the morninguntomountSinai, and present thyselfthereto me inthe topof the mount. And nomanshall come upwiththee, neitherlet any manbe seenthroughout allthe mount; neitherlet the flocksnor herdsfeedbeforethatmount. And he hewedtwotablesof stonelike unto the first; and Mosesrose up earlyin the morning, and went upuntomountSinai, asthe LORDhad commandedhim, and tookin his handthe twotablesof stone. And the LORDdescendedin the cloud, and stoodwithhim there, and proclaimedthe nameof the LORD. And the LORDpassed bybeforehim, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORDGod, mercifuland gracious, longsuffering, and abundantin goodnessand truth, Keepingmercyfor thousands, forgivinginiquityand transgressionand sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty ; visitingthe iniquityof the fathersuponthe children, and uponthe children's children, untothe thirdand tothe fourth generation . And Mosesmade haste, and bowed his headtoward the earth, and worshiped. And he said, IfnowI have foundgracein thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, goamongus; forit is a stiffneckedpeople; and pardonour iniquityand our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. And he said, Behold, Imakea covenant: beforeallthy peopleI will domarvels, such ashave notbeen donein allthe earth, nor in anynation: and allthe peopleamongwhichthou art shall seethe workof the LORD: forit is a terrible thingthatIwill dowiththee. Observethou that whichIcommandthee this day: behold, I drive outbeforethee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Take heedto thyself, lestthou makea covenantwith the inhabitantsof the landwhitherthougoest, lestit befor a snarein the midstof thee: Butye shall destroytheir altars, breaktheir images, and cut downtheir groves: Forthou shalt worshipnoothergod: forthe LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealousGod: Lestthou makea covenantwith the inhabitantsof the land, and they go a whoringaftertheir gods, and do sacrificeunto their gods, and one callthee, and thou eatof his sacrifice; And thou takeof their daughtersunto thy sons, and their daughtersgo a whoringaftertheir gods, and make thy sonsgo a whoringaftertheir gods. Thou shalt makethee nomoltengods. The feastof unleavened breadshalt thou keep. Sevendaysthou shalt eatunleavened bread, asI commandedthee, in the timeof the monthAbib: forin the monthAbibthou camest outfrom Egypt. Allthat openeththe matrix is mine; and everyfirstlingamong thy cattle, whether oxor sheep, that is male. But the firstlingof an assthou shalt redeemwith a lamb: and ifthou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. Allthe firstbornof thy sonsthou shalt redeem. And noneshall appearbeforeme empty. Sixdaysthou shalt work, but on the seventhdaythou shalt rest: in earing timeand in harvestthou shalt rest. And thou shalt observethe feastof weeks, of the firstfruitsof wheatharvest, and the feastof ingatheringat the year's end. Thricein the yearshall allyour men childrenappearbeforethe LordGOD, the Godof Israel. ForI will cast outthe nationsbeforethee, and enlargethy borders: neithershall any mandesirethy land, when thou shalt go upto appearbeforethe LORDthy Godthricein the year. Thou shalt notofferthe bloodof my sacrificewithleaven; neithershall the sacrificeof the feastof the passoverbe leftunto the morning. The firstof the firstfruitsof thy landthou shalt bringunto the houseof the LORDthy God. Thou shalt notseethea kidin his mother's milk. And the LORDsaiduntoMoses, Writethou thesewords: forafterthe tenorof thesewordsI have madea covenantwiththee and withIsrael. And he wastherewiththe LORDfortydaysand fortynights; he did neithereatbread, nordrinkwater. And he wroteuponthe tablesthe wordsof the covenant, the tencommandments. And it came to pass, when Mosescame downfrom mountSinaiwith the twotablesof testimonyin Moses' hand, when he came downfromthe mount, that Mosesknewnotthatthe skinof his faceshonewhile he talkedwithhim. And when Aaronand allthe childrenof IsraelsawMoses, behold, the skinof his faceshone; and they were afraidto come nighhim. And Mosescalleduntothem; and Aaronand allthe rulersof the congregationreturneduntohim: and Mosestalkedwiththem. And afterwardallthe childrenof Israelcame nigh: and he gave them in commandmentallthatthe LORDhad spokenwithhim in mountSinai. And till Moseshad donespeakingwiththem, he puta veilonhis face. But when Moseswent inbeforethe LORDto speakwithhim, he took the veil off, untilhe came out. And he came out, and spokeuntothe childrenof Israel that whichhe was commanded. And the childrenof Israelsawthe faceof Moses, thatthe skinof Moses' faceshone: and Mosesputthe veiluponhis faceagain, untilhe went into speakwithhim.
