And it shall bewhenthy sonaskeththee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt sayuntohim, By strengthof handthe LORDbrought us outfrom Egypt, from the houseof bondage: And it came to pass, whenPharaohwould hardlylet us go, that the LORDslewallthe firstbornin the landof Egypt, both the firstbornof man, and the firstbornof beast: thereforeIsacrificeto the LORDallthat openeththe matrix, being males; but allthe firstbornof my childrenI redeem. And it shall befor a tokenuponthine hand, and for frontletsbetweenthine eyes: forby strengthof handthe LORDbrought us forthout of Egypt. And it came to pass, when Pharaohhad let the peoplego, that Godledthem not through the wayof the landof the Philistines, althoughthat was near; forGodsaid, Lest peradventurethe peoplerepentwhen they seewar, and they returnto Egypt: But Godled the people about, through the wayof the wildernessof the Redsea: and the childrenof Israelwent upharnessedout of the landof Egypt. And Mosestookthe bonesof Josephwithhim: forhe had straitly swornthe childrenof Israel, saying, Godwill surely visityou; and ye shall carry up my bones awayhencewithyou. And they took their journeyfrom Succoth, and encampedin Etham, in the edgeof the wilderness. And the LORDwentbeforethem by dayin a pillarof a cloud, to leadthem the way; and by nightin a pillarof fire, to give them light; to goby dayand night: He took not awaythe pillarof the cloudby day, nor the pillarof fireby night, from beforethe people.
