A Prayerof David. Bow downthine ear, O LORDhearme: forI am poorand needy. Preservemy soul; forI am holy: O thoumy God, savethy servantthat trustethin thee. Be mercifulunto me, O Lord: forI cryuntothee daily. Rejoicethe soulof thy servant: foruntothee, O Lord, do I lift upmy soul. Forthou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteousin mercyunto allthem that call uponthee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attendto the voiceof my supplications. In the dayof my troubleI will call uponthee: forthou wilt answerme. Among the gods there is nonelike unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. Allnationswhomthou hast madeshall comeand worshipbeforethee, O Lord; and shall glorifythy name. Forthou art great, and doestwondrous things: thou art Godalone. Teachme thy way, O LORD; I will walkin thy truth: unitemy heartto fearthy name. I will praisethee, O Lordmy God, with allmy heart: and I will glorifythy nameforevermore. Forgreat is thy mercytowardme: and thou hast deliveredmy soulfrom the lowesthell. O God, the proudare risenagainstme, and the assembliesof violent men have sought aftermy soul; and have notsetthee beforethem. But thou, O Lord, art a Godfull of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteousin mercyand truth. O turnuntome, and have mercyupon me; givethy strengthunto thy servant, and savethe sonof thine handmaid. Showme a tokenfor good; that they which hateme may see it , and be ashamed: becausethou, LORD, hast helpedme, and comfortedme.
