A Psalm for Solomon. Givethe kingthy judgments, O God, and thy righteousnessunto the king's son. He shall judgethy peoplewith righteousness, and thy poorwith judgment. The mountainsshall bringpeaceto the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall judgethe poorof the people, he shall savethe childrenof the needy, and shall break in piecesthe oppressor. They shall fearthee as longas the sunand moonendure, throughout all generations. He shall come downlike rainuponthe mown grass: as showers that waterthe earth. In his daysshall the righteousflourish; and abundanceof peaceso longas the moonendureth. He shall have dominionalso from seatosea, and from the riveruntothe endsof the earth. They that dwell in the wildernessshall bowbeforehim; and his enemiesshall lickthe dust. The kingsof Tarshishand of the islesshall bringpresents: the kingsof Shebaand Sebashall offergifts. Yea, allkingsshall fall downbefore him: allnationsshall servehim. Forhe shall deliverthe needywhen he crieth; the pooralso, and him that hath nohelper. He shall sparethe poorand needy, and shall savethe soulsof the needy. He shall redeemtheir soulfrom deceitand violence: and preciousshall their bloodbe in his sight. And he shall live, and to him shall be givenof the goldof Sheba: prayeralso shall be made forhim continually; and dailyshall he be praised. There shall bea handfulof cornin the earthupon the topof the mountains; the fruitthereof shall shakelike Lebanon: and they of the cityshall flourishlike grassof the earth. His nameshall endureforever: his nameshall be continuedas longas the sun: and men shall be blessedin him: allnationsshall call him blessed.
