Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or wherewere the righteouscut off? Even asI have seen, they that plowiniquity, and sowwickedness, reapthe same. By the blastof Godthey perish, and by the breathof his nostrilsare they consumed. The roaringof the lion, and the voiceof the fierce lion, and the teethof the young lions, are broken. The old lionperishethfor lackof prey, and the stout lion's whelpsare scattered abroad. Now a thingwas secretly broughttome, and mine earreceiveda littlethereof. In thoughtsfrom the visionsof the night, when deep sleepfallethonmen, Fearcame uponme, and trembling, which made allmy bonesto shake. Then a spiritpassedbeforemy face; the hairof my fleshstood up: It stood still, but I could notdiscernthe formthereof: an image was beforemine eyes, there was silence, and I hearda voice, saying , Shall mortal manbe more just than God? shall a manbe more purethan his maker? Behold, he put no trustin his servants; and his angelshe chargedwith folly: How much less in them that dwell inhousesof clay, whosefoundation is in the dust, which are crushedbeforethe moth? They are destroyedfrom morningto evening: they perishforeverwithout anyregarding it . Doth nottheir excellency which is in them go away? they die, even withoutwisdom.
