Therefore they sayunto God, Departfromus; for we desirenotthe knowledgeof thy ways. What is the Almighty, thatwe should servehim? and whatprofitshould we have, ifwe prayunto him? Lo, their good is notin their hand: the counselof the wickedis farfromme. How oftis the candleof the wickedput out! and how oft comeththeir destructionuponthem! God distributethsorrowsin his anger. They areas stubblebeforethe wind, and as chaffthat the stormcarrieth away. Godlayeth uphis iniquityfor his children: he rewardethhim, and he shall know it . His eyesshall seehis destruction, and he shall drinkof the wrathof the Almighty. Forwhatpleasure hath he in his houseafterhim, when the numberof his monthsis cut off in the midst? Shall any teachGodknowledge? seeing hejudgeththose that are high. Onediethin his fullstrength, being whollyat easeand quiet. His breastsare fullof milk, and his bonesare moistenedwith marrow. And anotherdiethin the bitternessof his soul, and nevereatethwith pleasure. They shall lie downalikeinthe dust, and the wormsshall coverthem. Behold, I knowyour thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagineagainstme. Forye say, Where is the houseof the prince? and where are the dwellingplacesof the wicked? Have ye notaskedthem that goby the way? and do ye notknowtheir tokens, Thatthe wickedis reservedto the dayof destruction? they shall be brought forthto the dayof wrath. Whoshall declarehis waytohis face? and whoshall repayhim what hehath done? Yet shall hebe broughtto the grave, and shall remaininthe tomb. The clodsof the valleyshall be sweetunto him, and everymanshall drawafterhim, as there are innumerablebeforehim. Howthen comfortye me in vain, seeing in your answersthere remainethfalsehood?
