And while he yetspokewiththem, Rachelcamewithher father's sheep: forshekeptthem. And JacobkissedRachel, and lifted uphis voice, and wept. And JacobtoldRachelthathe was her father's brother, and thathe was Rebekah's son: and she ranand toldher father. And it came to pass, when Labanheardthe tidingsof Jacobhis sister's son, that he ranto meethim, and embracedhim, and kissedhim, and broughthim tohis house. And he toldLabanallthesethings. And Labansaidto him, Surelythou art my boneand my flesh. And he abodewithhim the spaceof a month. And Labansaidunto Jacob, Becausethou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serveme for naught? tellme, what shall thy wages be ? And Labanhad twodaughters: the nameof the elder was Leah, and the nameof the younger was Rachel. Leah was tendereyed; but Rachelwasbeautifuland wellfavored. And JacoblovedRachel; and said, I will servethee sevenyearsfor Rachelthy youngerdaughter. And Labansaid, It is betterthat I giveher to thee, than that I should giveher to anotherman: abidewithme. And Jacobservedsevenyearsfor Rachel; and they seemedunto him but a fewdays, for the lovehe had to her. And JacobsaiduntoLaban, Give me my wife, formy daysare fulfilled, that I may go inuntoher. And Labangathered togetherallthe menof the place, and madea feast. And it came to passin the evening, that he tookLeahhis daughter, and broughther tohim; and he went inuntoher. And Labangaveunto his daughterLeahZilpahhis maid for a handmaid. And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he saidtoLaban, What is thisthou hast doneunto me? did notI servewiththee for Rachel? whereforethen hast thou beguiledme? And Labansaid, It must notbe sodonein our country, to givethe youngerbeforethe firstborn. Fulfillherweek, and we will givethee thisalsofor the servicewhichthou shalt servewithme yetsevenotheryears. And Jacobdidso, and fulfilledherweek: and he gavehim Rachelhis daughterto wifealso. And Labangaveto Rachelhis daughterBilhahhis handmaidto be her maid. And he went inalsountoRachel, and he lovedalsoRachelmore than Leah, and servedwithhim yetsevenotheryears. And when the LORDsawthatLeah was hated, he openedher womb: but Rachel was barren. And Leahconceived, and borea son, and she calledhis nameReuben: forshe said, Surelythe LORDhath lookedupon my affliction; nowthereforemy husbandwill loveme. And she conceivedagain, and borea son; and said, Becausethe LORDhath heardthatI was hated, he hath therefore givenme this son also: and she calledhis nameSimeon. And she conceivedagain, and borea son; and said, Nowthis timewill my husbandbe joineduntome, becauseI have bornhim threesons: thereforewas his namecalledLevi. And she conceivedagain, and borea son: and she said, Nowwill I praisethe LORD: thereforeshe calledhis nameJudah; and leftbearing.
