Andthey keptthat sayingwiththemselves, questioning one with anotherwhattherisingfromthe deadshould mean. Andthey askedhim, saying, Why saythescribesthatElijahmustfirstcome? Andheansweredand toldthem, Elijahverilycomethfirst, and restoreth all things; andhow it is writtenoftheSon of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at naught. But I say unto you, ThatElijah is indeedcome, and they have done unto himwhatsoever they listed, as it is writtenofhim. Andwhen he cameto his disciples, he sawa greatmultitudeaboutthem, andthescribesquestioningwith them. Andstraightwayallthepeople, when they beheldhim, were greatly amazed, andrunning to himsalutedhim. Jesussaidunto him, If thou canstbelieve, all things are possible to him that believeth. Andstraightwaythefatherof thechildcried out, and saidwithtears, Lord, I believe; helpthou mineunbelief. WhenJesussawthatthe peoplecame running together, he rebukedthefoulspirit, sayingunto him, Thou dumbanddeafspirit, Ichargethee, come out ofhim, andenter no moreintohim. And the spirit cried, andrenthimsore, and came outof him: andhe wasasone dead; insomuch thatmanysaid, He is dead. ButJesustookhimby thehand, and lifted him up; andhe arose. Andwhen hewas comeintothe house, hisdisciplesaskedhimprivately, Whycouldnotwecast him out? Andhe saidunto them, Thiskindcan come forthbynothing, butbyprayerandfasting. Andthey departedthence, and passedthroughGalilee; andhe wouldnotthatany manshould know it. Forhe taughthisdisciples, andsaidunto them, TheSon of man is deliveredinto the hands of men, and they shall killhim; and after that he is killed, he shall risethethirdday. Buttheyunderstoodnot that saying, andwere afraidto askhim. Andhe cametoCapernaum: andbeinginthehousehe askedthem, What was it that ye disputedamongyourselvesbytheway? Buttheyheld their peace: forbythewaythey had disputedamongthemselves, who should be the greatest. Andhe sat down, and calledthetwelve, andsaithunto them, If any mandesire to befirst, the same shall belast of all, andservant of all. Andhe tooka child, and sethiminthemidstof them: andwhen he had taken him in his arms, he saidunto them, Whosoever shall receiveone of suchchildreninmyname, receivethme: andwhosoever shall receiveme, receivethnotme, but him that sentme. AndJohnansweredhim, saying, Master, we sawonecasting outdevilsinthyname, and hefollowethnotus: andwe forbadehim, becausehe followethnotus. ButJesussaid, Forbidhimnot: for there is no manwhich shall do a miracleinmyname, thatcanlightly speak evil of me. Forhe that isnotagainstusis on our part.
