Ask, and it shall be givenyou; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that askethreceiveth; and he that seekethfindeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Orwhatmanis there ofyou, whomifhissonaskbread, will he givehimastone? Orif he ask a fish, will he givehim a serpent? Ifyethen, beingevil, know how to givegoodgifts unto yourchildren, how muchmore shall yourFatherwhich is inheavengive good things to them that askhim? Therefore all thingswhatsoever ye wouldthatmen should do to you, doyeevenso to them: forthisisthelawandtheprophets. Enter ye in at thestraitgate: forwide is thegate, andbroad is theway, that leadethtodestruction, andmany there be which go inthereat: Becausestrait is thegate, andnarrow is theway, whichleadethuntolife, andfew there be that findit. Bewareof false prophets, whichcometoyouinsheep's clothing, butinwardly they areraveningwolves. Ye shall knowthembytheirfruits. Do mengathergrapesofthorns, orfigsofthistles? Even soeverygoodtree bringeth forthgoodfruit; but a corrupttree bringeth forthevilfruit. A goodtreecannot bring forthevilfruit, neither can a corrupttree bring forthgoodfruit. Everytree that bringeth not forthgoodfruit is hewn down, andcastinto the fire. Whereforebytheirfruits ye shall knowthem. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enterintothekingdom of heaven; but he that doeththewill of myFatherwhich is inheaven. Many will say to meinthatday, Lord, Lord, have we notprophesied in thynameand in thyname have cast outdevils? and in thynamedonemany wonderful works? Andthen will I profess unto them, I neverknewyou: departfromme, ye that workiniquity. Thereforewhosoeverheareththesesayings of mine, anddoeththem, I will likenhim unto a wiseman, whichbuilthishouseupon a rock: Andtheraindescended, andthefloodscame, andthewindsblew, and beat uponthathouse; and it fellnot; for it was foundedupon a rock. And every one that heareththesesayings of mine, anddoeththemnot, shall be likened unto a foolishman, whichbuilthishouseuponthesand: Andtheraindescended, andthefloodscame, andthewindsblew, and beat uponthathouse; and it fell: andgreatwasthefall of it.
