And Miriamand Aaronspokeagainst Mosesbecauseof the Ethiopianwomanwhomhe had married: forhe had marriedan Ethiopianwoman. And they said, Hath the LORDindeedspokenonlyby Moses? hath he notspokenalsoby us? And the LORDheard it . (Now the manMoses was verymeek, above allthe menwhich were uponthe faceof the earth.) And the LORDspokesuddenlyuntoMoses, and untoAaron, and untoMiriam, Come outye threeuntothe tabernacleof the congregation. And they threecame out. And the LORDcame downin the pillarof the cloud, and stood in the doorof the tabernacle, and calledAaronand Miriam: and they bothcame forth. And he said, Hearnowmy words: Ifthere bea prophetamong you, I the LORDwill make myself knownuntohim in a vision, and will speakunto him in a dream. My servantMoses is notso, who is faithfulin allmine house. With him will I speakmouthtomouth, even apparently, and notin dark speeches; and the similitudeof the LORDshall he behold: whereforethen were ye not afraidto speakagainst my servantMoses? And the angerof the LORDwas kindledagainst them; and he departed. And the clouddepartedfrom offthe tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and AaronlookeduponMiriam, and, behold, she was leprous. And AaronsaiduntoMoses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, laynotthe sinuponus, whereinwe have done foolishly, and whereinwe have sinned. Lether notbeas one dead, of whomthe fleshis halfconsumedwhen he cometh outof his mother's womb. And Mosescrieduntothe LORD, saying, Healher now, O God, I beseech thee. And the LORDsaiduntoMoses, If her fatherhad but spitin her face, should she notbe ashamedsevendays? let her be shut outfromthe campsevendays, and after thatlet her be received in again . And Miriamwas shut outfromthe campsevendays: and the peoplejourneyednottillMiriamwas brought in again . And afterwardthe peopleremovedfrom Hazeroth, and pitchedin the wildernessof Paran.
