Woeto them that go downto Egyptfor help; and stayonhorses, and trustinchariots, because they are many; and inhorsemen, becausethey are very strong; but they looknotuntothe Holy Oneof Israel, neitherseekthe LORD! Yet healso is wise, and will bringevil, and will notcall backhis words: but will ariseagainstthe houseof the evildoers, and againstthe helpof them that workiniquity. Now the Egyptians are men, and notGod; and their horsesflesh, and notspirit. When the LORDshall stretch outhis hand, both he that helpethshall fall, and he that is helpedshall fall down, and they allshall failtogether. Forthushath the LORDspokenuntome, Like asthe lionand the young lionroaringonhis prey, whena multitudeof shepherdsis called forthagainsthim, he will notbe afraidof their voice, norabasehimself for the noiseof them: soshall the LORDof hostscome downto fightformountZion, and forthe hillthereof. As birdsflying, sowill the LORDof hostsdefendJerusalem; defendingalso he will deliver it; and passing overhe will preserveit. Turnye unto him from whomthe childrenof Israelhave deeplyrevolted. Forin thatdayevery manshall cast awayhis idolsof silver, and his idolsof gold, whichyour own handshave madeunto you for a sin. Then shall the Assyrianfallwith the sword, notof a mighty man; and the sword, notof a mean man, shall devourhim: but he shall fleefromthe sword, and his young menshall bediscomfited. And he shall pass overto his strongholdfor fear, and his princesshall be afraidof the ensign, saiththe LORD, whosefire is in Zion, and his furnacein Jerusalem.
