To every thing there is a season, and a timeto everypurposeunderthe heaven: A timeto be born, and a timeto die; a timeto plant, and a timeto pluck up that which is planted; A timeto kill, and a timeto heal; a timeto break down, and a timeto build up; A timeto weep, and a timeto laugh; a timeto mourn, and a timeto dance; A timeto cast awaystones, and a timeto gather stones together; a timeto embrace, and a timeto refrainfrom embracing; A timeto get, and a timeto lose; a timeto keep, and a timeto cast away; A timeto rend, and a timeto sew; a timeto keep silence, and a timeto speak; A timeto love, and a timeto hate; a timeof war, and a timeof peace. Whatprofithath he that workethin that whereinhelaboreth? I have seenthe travail, whichGodhath givento the sonsof mento be exercisedin it. He hath madeevery thing beautifulin his time: alsohe hath setthe worldin their heart, so thatnomancan find outthe workthatGodmakethfrom the beginningtothe end. I knowthat there is nogoodin them, butfor a man to rejoice, and to dogoodin his life. And alsothat every man should eatand drink, and enjoythe goodof allhis labor, it is the giftof God. I knowthat, whatsoeverGoddoeth, itshall beforever: nothingcan be puttoit, norany thing takenfromit: and Goddoeth it , that men should fearbeforehim. That which hath beenis now; and thatwhichis to behath alreadybeen; and Godrequireththat which is past. And moreoverI sawunderthe sunthe placeof judgment, that wickedness was there; and the placeof righteousness, that iniquity was there. Isaidin mine heart, Godshall judgethe righteousand the wicked: for there is a timetherefor everypurposeand foreverywork. Isaidin mine heartconcerningthe estateof the sonsof men, that Godmight manifestthem, and that theymight seethat theythemselves are beasts. Forthat which befalleththe sonsof menbefallethbeasts; even one thingbefalleththem: as the onedieth, sodieththe other; yea, they have allonebreath; so that a manhath nopreeminenceabovea beast: forall is vanity. Allgountooneplace; allareofthe dust, and allturn to dust again. Whoknoweththe spiritof manthatgoethupward, and the spiritof the beastthatgoethdownwardto the earth? Wherefore I perceivethat there is nothingbetter, than thata manshould rejoicein his own works; forthat is his portion: forwhoshall bringhim to seewhat shall beafterhim?
