Moreover he saiduntome, Sonof man, eatthatthou findest; eatthisroll, and gospeakuntothe houseof Israel. So I openedmy mouth, and he caused me to eatthatroll. And he saiduntome, Sonof man, cause thy bellyto eat, and fillthy bowelswiththisrollthatIgivethee. Then did I eat it ; and it wasin my mouthas honeyfor sweetness. And he saiduntome, Sonof man, go, getthee untothe houseof Israel, and speakwith my wordsuntothem. Forthou art notsenttoa peopleof a strangespeechand of a hardlanguage, but tothe houseof Israel; Nottomanypeopleof a strangespeechand of a hardlanguage, whosewordsthou canst notunderstand. Surely, had I sentthee tothem, theywould have hearkeneduntothee. But the houseof Israelwillnothearkenuntothee; forthey willnothearkenuntome: forallthe houseof Israel are impudentand hardhearted. Behold, I have madethy facestrongagainsttheir faces, andthy foreheadstrongagainsttheir foreheads. As an adamantharderthan flinthave I madethy forehead: fearthem not, neitherbe dismayedat their looks, thoughthey be a rebellioushouse. Moreover he saiduntome, Sonof man, allmy wordsthatI shall speakuntothee receivein thine heart, and hearwith thine ears. And go, getthee tothem of the captivity, untothe childrenof thy people, and speakuntothem, and tellthem, Thussaiththe LordGOD; whetherthey will hear, or whetherthey will forbear. Then the spirittook me up, and I heardbehindme a voiceof a greatrushing, saying , Blessed be the gloryof the LORDfrom his place. I heard also the noiseof the wingsof the living creaturesthat touchedoneanother, and the noiseof the wheelsover againstthem, and a noiseof a greatrushing. So the spiritlifted me up, and took me away, and I wentin bitterness, in the heatof my spirit; but the handof the LORDwas stronguponme. Then I cametothem of the captivityat Tel-abib, that dweltbythe riverof Chebar, and I satwheretheysat, and remainedthereastonishedamongthem sevendays. And it came to passat the endof sevendays, that the wordof the LORDcameuntome, saying, Sonof man, I have madethee a watchmanunto the houseof Israel: therefore hearthe wordat my mouth, and give them warningfromme. When I sayunto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, norspeakestto warnthe wickedfrom his wickedway, to save his life; the samewicked man shall diein his iniquity; but his bloodwill I requireat thine hand. Yet ifthouwarnthe wicked, and he turnnotfrom his wickedness, nor from his wickedway, heshall diein his iniquity; but thouhast deliveredthy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turnfrom his righteousness, and commitiniquity, and I laya stumblingblockbeforehim, heshall die: becausethou hast notgiven him warning, he shall diein his sin, and his righteousnesswhichhe hath doneshall notbe remembered; but his bloodwill I requireat thine hand. Nevertheless ifthouwarnthe righteous man , that the righteoussinnot, and hedoth notsin, he shall surely live, becausehe is warned; also thouhast deliveredthy soul. And the handof the LORDwasthereuponme; and he saiduntome, Arise, go forthintothe plain, and I will theretalkwiththee. Then I arose, and went forthintothe plain: and, behold, the gloryof the LORDstoodthere, as the glorywhichI sawbythe riverof Chebar: and I fellonmy face. Then the spiritenteredinto me, and setme uponmy feet, and spokewithme, and saiduntome, Go, shut thyselfwithinthine house. But thou, O sonof man, behold, they shall putbandsuponthee, and shall bindthee with them, and thou shalt notgo outamongthem: And I will make thy tonguecleavetothe roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt notbeto them a reprover: forthey are a rebellioushouse. But when I speakwiththee, I will openthy mouth, and thou shalt sayuntothem, Thussaiththe LordGOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: forthey are a rebellioushouse.
