Chastenthy sonwhilethere ishope, and let notthy soulspareforhis crying. A man of greatwrathshall sufferpunishment: forifthou deliver him , yetthou must do it again. Hearcounsel, and receiveinstruction, thatthou mayest be wisein thy latterend. There are manydevicesin a man's heart; nevertheless the counselof the LORD, thatshall stand. The desireof a man is his kindness: and a poorman is betterthan a liar. The fearof the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abidesatisfied; he shall notbe visitedwith evil. A slothful man hidethhis handin his bosom, and will notso muchas bring it to his mouth again. Smitea scorner, and the simplewill beware: and reproveone that hath understanding, and he will understandknowledge. He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a sonthat causeth shame, and bringeth reproach. Cease, my son, to hearthe instruction that causeth to errfrom the wordsof knowledge. An ungodlywitnessscornethjudgment: and the mouthof the wickeddevourethiniquity. Judgmentsare preparedfor scorners, and stripesfor the backof fools.
