And she saidunto them, Getyou to the mountain, lestthe pursuersmeetyou; and hide yourselvestherethreedays, untilthe pursuersbe returned: and afterwardmay ye goyour way. And the mensaiduntoher, We will be blamelessof this thine oathwhichthou hast made us swear. Behold, when wecomeinto the land, thou shalt bindthislineof scarletthreadin the windowwhichthou didst let us downby: and thou shalt bringthy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and allthy father's household, homeuntothee. And it shall be, that whosoevershall go outof the doorsof thy houseinto the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoevershall bewiththee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any handbeupon him. And ifthou utterthisour business, then we will bequitof thine oathwhichthou hast made us to swear. And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she boundthe scarletlinein the window. And they went, and cameunto the mountain, and abodetherethreedays, untilthe pursuerswere returned: and the pursuerssought them throughout allthe way, but found them not. So the twomenreturned, and descendedfrom the mountain, and passed over, and cametoJoshuathe sonof Nun, and toldhim all things that befellthem: And they saiduntoJoshua, Trulythe LORDhath deliveredinto our handsallthe land; for evenallthe inhabitantsof the countrydo faintbecause ofus.
