And Moseswentand spokethesewordsuntoallIsrael. And he saiduntothem, I am a hundredand twentyyearsoldthis day; I cannomorego outand come in: also the LORDhath saiduntome, Thou shalt notgo overthisJordan. The LORDthy God, hewill go overbeforethee, and hewill destroythesenationsfrom beforethee, and thou shalt possessthem: and Joshua, heshall go overbeforethee, asthe LORDhath said. And the LORDshall dounto them ashe didto Sihonand to Og, kingsof the Amorites, and unto the landof them, whomhe destroyed. And the LORDshall give them upbefore your face, that ye may dounto them according unto allthe commandmentswhichI have commandedyou. Be strongand of a good courage, fearnot, norbe afraidofthem: forthe LORDthy God, he it is that doth gowiththee; he will notfailthee, norforsakethee. And Mosescalledunto Joshua, and saiduntohim in the sightof allIsrael, Be strongand of a good courage: forthoumust gowiththispeopleuntothe landwhichthe LORDhath swornunto their fathersto givethem; and thoushalt cause them to inheritit. And the LORD, he it is that doth gobeforethee; hewill bewith thee, he will notfailthee, neitherforsakethee: fearnot, neitherbe dismayed. And Moseswrotethislaw, and deliveredit untothe prieststhe sonsof Levi, which borethe arkof the covenantof the LORD, and untoallthe eldersof Israel. And Mosescommandedthem, saying, At the endof every sevenyears, in the solemnityof the yearof release, in the feastof tabernacles, When allIsraelis cometo appearbeforethe LORDthy Godin the placewhichhe shall choose, thou shalt readthislawbeforeallIsraelin their hearing. Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy strangerthat is within thy gates, thatthey may hear, and thatthey may learn, and fearthe LORDyour God, and observeto doallthe wordsof thislaw: And that their children, whichhave notknown any thing , may hear, and learnto fearthe LORDyour God, as long asyeliveinthe landwhitheryego overJordanto possessit. And the LORDsaiduntoMoses, Behold, thy daysapproachthat thou must die: callJoshua, and present yourselvesin the tabernacleof the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Mosesand Joshuawent, and presented themselvesin the tabernacleof the congregation. And the LORDappearedin the tabernaclein a pillarof a cloud: and the pillarof the cloudstoodoverthe doorof the tabernacle. And the LORDsaiduntoMoses, Behold, thou shalt sleepwiththy fathers; and thispeoplewill rise up, and go a whoringafterthe godsof the strangersof the land, whithertheygo to be amongthem, and will forsakeme, and breakmy covenantwhichI have madewiththem. Then my angershall be kindledagainst them in thatday, and I will forsakethem, and I will hidemy facefromthem, and they shall bedevoured, and manyevilsand troublesshall befallthem; so that they will sayin thatday, Are nottheseevilscome uponus, becauseour God is notamongus? And Iwill surely hidemy facein thatdayforallthe evilswhichthey shall have wrought, in thatthey are turneduntoothergods. Nowtherefore writeye thissongfor you, and teachit the childrenof Israel: putit in their mouths, thatthissongmay bea witnessfor me against the childrenof Israel. Forwhen I shall have broughtthem intothe landwhichI sworeunto their fathers, that flowethwith milkand honey; and they shall have eatenand filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turnuntoothergods, and servethem, and provokeme, and breakmy covenant. And it shall come to pass, whenmanyevilsand troublesare befallenthem, that thissongshall testifyagainstthem as a witness; forit shall notbe forgottenout of the mouthsof their seed: forI knowtheir imaginationwhichtheygo about, even now, beforeI have broughtthem intothe landwhichI swore. Mosestherefore wrotethissongthe sameday, and taughtit the childrenof Israel. And he gaveJoshuathe sonof Nuna charge, and said, Be strongand of a good courage: forthoushalt bringthe childrenof Israelintothe landwhichI sworeunto them: and Iwill bewiththee. And it came to pass, when Moseshad made an endof writingthe wordsof thislawina book, untilthey were finished, That Mosescommandedthe Levites, which borethe arkof the covenantof the LORD, saying, Takethisbookof the law, and putit in the sideof the arkof the covenantof the LORDyour God, that it may betherefor a witnessagainst thee. ForIknowthy rebellion, and thy stiffneck: behold, while I am yetalivewithyou this day, ye have beenrebelliousagainstthe LORD; and howmuch moreaftermy death? Gatheruntome allthe eldersof your tribes, and your officers, that I may speakthesewordsin their ears, and callheavenand earthto record against them. ForI knowthat aftermy deathye will utterly corrupt yourselves , and turn asidefromthe waywhichI have commandedyou; and evilwill befallyou in the latterdays; becauseye will doevilin the sightof the LORD, to provoke him to angerthrough the workof your hands. And Mosesspokein the earsof allthe congregationof Israelthe wordsof thissong, untilthey were ended.
