Therefore thou shalt lovethe LORDthy God, and keephis charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always. And knowye this day: for I speak notwithyour childrenwhichhave notknown, and whichhave notseenthe chastisementof the LORDyour God, his greatness, his mightyhand, and his stretched outarm, And his miracles, and his acts, whichhe didin the midstof Egyptunto Pharaohthe kingof Egypt, and unto allhis land; And whathe didunto the armyof Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; howhe made the waterof the Redseato overflowthem as they pursuedafteryou, and how the LORDhath destroyedthem untothisday; And whathe didunto you in the wilderness, untilye cameintothisplace; And whathe didunto Dathanand Abiram, the sonsof Eliab, the sonof Reuben: howthe earthopenedher mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and allthe substancethat was in their possession, in the midstof allIsrael: Butyour eyeshave seenallthe greatactsof the LORDwhichhe did. Therefore shall ye lay upthesemy wordsinyour heartand inyour soul, and bindthem for a signuponyour hand, that they may beas frontletsbetweenyour eyes. And ye shall teachthem your children, speakingof them when thou sittestin thine house, and when thou walkestby the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt writethem uponthe door postsof thine house, and upon thy gates: Thatyour daysmay be multiplied, and the daysof your children, inthe landwhichthe LORDsworeunto your fathersto givethem, as the daysof heavenuponthe earth. Forifye shall diligently keepallthesecommandmentswhichIcommandyou, to dothem, to lovethe LORDyour God, to walkin allhis ways, and to cleaveunto him; Then will the LORDdrive outallthesenationsfrom beforeyou, and ye shall possessgreaternationsand mightierthanyourselves.
