Andinthosedayshe dideatnothing: andwhen theywere ended, he afterwardhungered. Andthedevilsaidunto him, Ifthou bethe Sonof God, commandthisstonethatit be madebread. AndJesusansweredhim, saying, It is written, Thatman shall notlivebybreadalone, butbyeveryword of God. Andthedevil, taking him upintoa highmountain, showedunto himallthekingdomsof theworldina momentof time. Andthedevilsaidunto him, Allthispowerwill I givethee, andthegloryof them: forthat is deliveredunto me; andto whomsoeverI willI giveit. Ifthouthereforewilt worshipme, allshall bethine. AndJesusansweredand saidunto him, Get thee behindme, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the LordthyGod, andhimonly shalt thou serve. AndJesusreturnedinthepowerof theSpiritintoGalilee: andthere went outa fameofhimthroughalltheregion round about. Andhetaughtintheirsynagogues, being glorifiedofall. Andhe cametoNazareth, wherehe had beenbrought up: and, ashiscustomwas, he wentintothesynagogueonthesabbathday, andstood upfor to read. Andthere was deliveredunto himthe bookof theprophetIsaiah. Andhe closedthebook, and he gave it againto theminister, and sat down. Andtheeyesof allthem that were inthesynagoguewerefastened onhim. Andhe beganto sayuntothem, This day is thisScripturefulfilledinyourears. Andallbare him witness, andwonderedatthegraciouswordswhich proceededout ofhismouth. Andthey said, IsnotthisJoseph's son? Andallthey inthesynagogue, when they heardthese things, were filledwith wrath, Androse up, and thrusthimoutof thecity, andledhimuntothebrowof thehillwhereontheircitywas built, that they might cast him down headlong. Buthepassingthroughthe midstof themwent his way, Andcame downtoCapernaum, a cityof Galilee, andtaughtthemonthesabbath days. Andthey were astonishedathisdoctrine: forhiswordwaswithpower. Andinthesynagoguethere wasa man, which hada spiritof an uncleandevil, andcried outwith a loudvoice, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesusof Nazareth? art thou cometo destroyus? I knowtheewhothou art; theHoly Oneof God. AndJesusrebukedhim, saying, Hold thy peace, andcome out ofhim. Andwhen thedevilhad thrownhiminthemidst, he cameout ofhim, andhurthimnot. Andthey wereallamazed, andspakeamongthemselves, saying, Whata word is this! forwithauthorityandpowerhe commandeththeuncleanspirits, andthey come out. Andthe fameofhimwent outintoeveryplaceof thecountry round about. Andhe aroseout ofthesynagogue, and enteredintoSimon's house. AndSimon's wife's motherwastaken witha greatfever; andthey besoughthimforher. Andhe stoodoverher, and rebukedthefever; andit lefther: andimmediatelyshe aroseand ministeredunto them. Nowwhen thesunwas setting, alltheythat hadany sickwith diversdiseasesbroughtthemuntohim; andhelaid his hands oneveryoneof them, and healedthem. Anddevilsalsocameout ofmany, crying out, andsaying, ThouartChristtheSonof God. Andhe rebuking them sufferedthemnotto speak: forthey knewthat hewasChrist. Andwhen it wasday, he departedand wentintoa desertplace: andthepeoplesoughthim, andcameuntohim, andstayedhim, that he should notdepartfromthem. Andhesaiduntothem, Imustpreachthekingdom of God to othercitiesalso: fortherefore am I sent. Andhe preachedinthesynagoguesof Galilee.
