WhenJesusunderstood it, he saidunto them, Whytrouble ye thewoman? for she hath wrought a goodworkuponme. For ye havethepooralwayswithyou; butme ye havenotalways. For in that she hath pouredthisointmentonmybody, she did it for myburial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoeverthisgospel shall be preachedinthewholeworld, there shall alsothis, that this woman hath done, be toldfor a memorial of her. Thenoneof thetwelve, calledJudasIscariot, wentuntothechief priests, And said unto them, Whatwillye giveme, and Iwill deliverhimunto you? Andtheycovenantedwith himfor thirtypieces of silver. Andfromthat timehe soughtopportunitytobetrayhim. Nowthefirst day of the feast of unleavened breadthedisciplescameto Jesus, sayingunto him, Wherewiltthou that we preparefor theeto eatthepassover? ThensaithJesusunto them, Allye shall be offendedbecause of methisnight: for it is written, I will smitetheshepherd, andthesheep of theflock shall be scattered abroad. But after I am risen again, I will go beforeyouintoGalilee. Peteransweredand saidunto him, Thoughall men shall be offendedbecauseof thee, yet will Ineverbe offended. Jesussaidunto him, Verily I say unto thee, Thatthisnight, before the cockcrow, thou shalt denymethrice. Petersaidunto him, ThoughIshoulddiewiththee, yet will I notdenythee. Likewisealsosaidallthedisciples. ThencomethJesuswiththemuntoa placecalledGethsemane, andsaithunto thedisciples, Sit ye here, while I go and prayyonder. Andhe took withhim Peterandthetwosonsof Zebedee, and beganto be sorrowfulandvery heavy. Thensaithhe unto them, Mysoulis exceeding sorrowful, even untodeath: tarry ye here, andwatchwithme.
