But Nineveh is of oldlike a poolof water: yet theyshall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry ; but noneshall look back. Take ye the spoilof silver, take the spoilof gold: for there is noneendof the store and gloryout of allthe pleasantfurniture. She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heartmelteth, and the kneessmite together, and much pain is in allloins, and the facesof them allgatherblackness. Where is the dwellingof the lions, and the feeding placeof the young lions, wherethe lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and nonemade them afraid? The liondid tear in piecesenoughfor his whelps, and strangledfor his lionesses, and filledhis holeswith prey, and his denswith ravin. Behold, I am againstthee, saiththe LORDof hosts, and I will burnher chariotsin the smoke, and the swordshall devourthy young lions: and I will cut offthy preyfrom the earth, and the voiceof thy messengersshall nomorebe heard.
