AndI hearda greatvoiceout ofheavensaying, Behold, thetabernacleof God is withmen, andhe will dwellwiththem, andtheyshall behispeople, andGodhimselfshall bewiththem, and be theirGod. AndGodshall wipe awayalltearsfromtheireyes; andthere shall benomoredeath, neithersorrow, norcrying, neithershall there beany morepain: fortheformer thingsare passed away. Andthewallof thecityhadtwelvefoundations, andinthemthe namesof thetwelveapostlesof theLamb. Andhe that talkedwithmehada goldenreedtomeasurethecity, andthegatesthereof, andthewallthereof. Andthecityliethfoursquare, andthelengthisas largeasthebreadth: andhe measuredthecitywith thereed, twelvethousandfurlongs. Thelengthandthebreadthandtheheightof itareequal. Andhe measuredthewallthereof, a hundred and forty and fourcubits, according to the measureof a man, that is, of the angel. Andthebuildingof thewallof itwas of jasper: andthecity was puregold, like untoclearglass. Andthefoundationsof thewallof thecity were garnishedwith all mannerof preciousstones. Thefirstfoundationwas jasper; thesecond, sapphire; thethird, a chalcedony; thefourth, an emerald; Thefifth, sardonyx; thesixth, sardius; theseventh, chrysolyte; theeighth, beryl; theninth, a topaz; thetenth, a chrysoprasus; theeleventh, a jacinth; thetwelfth, an amethyst. Andthetwelvegates were twelvepearls; every severalgatewasofonepearl: andthestreetof thecity was puregold, as it weretransparentglass. AndI sawnotempletherein: fortheLordGodAlmightyandtheLambarethe templeof it. Andthecityhadnoneedof thesun, neitherof themoon, toshineinit: forthegloryof Goddid lightenit, andtheLamb is thelightthereof. Andthenationsof them which are savedshall walkinthelightof it: andthekingsof theearthdo bringtheirgloryandhonorintoit. Andthegatesof itshall not be shut at allby day: forthere shall benonightthere. Andthey shall bringthegloryandhonorof thenationsintoit. Andthere shall in no wiseenterintoitany thingthat defileth, neither whatsoever workethabomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are writtenintheLamb's bookof life.
