And Joshuacalledfor allIsrael, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and saiduntothem, Iam old and strickenin age: And yehave seenallthatthe LORDyour Godhath doneunto allthesenationsbecauseof you; forthe LORDyour God is hethat hath foughtfor you. Behold, I have divided unto you by lotthesenationsthat remain, to be an inheritancefor your tribes, fromJordan, with allthe nationsthatI have cut off, even unto the greatseawestward. And the LORDyour God, heshall expelthem from beforeyou, and drivethem from out of your sight; and ye shall possesstheir land, asthe LORDyour Godhath promisedunto you. Be ye therefore verycourageousto keepand to doallthat is writtenin the bookof the lawof Moses, that ye turnnotasidetherefrom to the right handor to the left; That ye comenotamong thesenations, thesethat remainamong you; neithermake mentionof the nameof their gods, norcause to swear by them , neitherservethem, norbow yourselvesunto them: Butcleaveunto the LORDyour God, asye have doneuntothisday. For the LORDhath driven outfrom beforeyou greatnationsand strong: but as for you, nomanhath been able to standbeforeyou untothisday. Onemanofyou shall chasea thousand: forthe LORDyour God, he it is that fightethfor you, ashe hath promisedyou. Take goodheedtherefore unto yourselves, that ye lovethe LORDyour God. Elseifye do in any wise go back, and cleaveunto the remnantof thesenations, even thesethat remainamongyou, and shall make marriageswith them, and go inunto them, and theyto you: Know for a certaintythatthe LORDyour Godwill nomoredrive out any of thesenationsfrom beforeyou; but they shall besnaresand trapsunto you, and scourgesin your sides, and thornsin your eyes, untilye perishfrom offthisgoodlandwhichthe LORDyour Godhath givenyou. And, behold, this dayI am goingthe wayof allthe earth: and ye knowin allyour heartsand in allyour souls, thatnotonethinghath failedof allthe goodthingswhichthe LORDyour Godspokeconcerningyou; allare come to passunto you, and notonethinghath failedthereof. Therefore it shall come to pass, that asallgoodthingsare comeuponyou, whichthe LORDyour Godpromisedyou; soshall the LORDbringuponyou allevilthings, untilhe have destroyedyou from offthisgoodlandwhichthe LORDyour Godhath givenyou. When ye have transgressedthe covenantof the LORDyour God, whichhe commandedyou, and have goneand servedothergods, and bowed yourselvesto them; then shall the angerof the LORDbe kindledagainst you, and ye shall perishquicklyfrom offthe goodlandwhichhe hath givenunto you.
