If there be therefore anyconsolationinChrist, if anycomfortof love, if anyfellowshipof the Spirit, if anybowelsandmercies, Fulfillye myjoy, thatye be likeminded, havingthesamelove, being of one accord, of onemind. Let nothing be done throughstrifeorvainglory; butin lowliness of mindlet each esteem otherbetterthan themselves. Looknotevery manon his own things, butevery manalsoon the things of others. Let this mind beinyou, whichwas alsoinChristJesus: Who, beinginthe formof God, thoughtit notrobberyto beequalwith God: Butmade himself of no reputation, and tookupon him the formof a servant, and was madeinthe likenessof men: Andbeing foundin fashionasa man, he humbledhimself, and becameobedientuntodeath, eventhe deathof the cross. WhereforeGodalsohath highly exaltedhim, andgivenhima namewhichis aboveeveryname: Thatatthenameof Jesuseverykneeshould bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that everytongueshould confessthatJesusChrist is Lord, tothe gloryof Godthe Father. Wherefore, mybeloved, asye have alwaysobeyed, notasinmypresenceonly, butnowmuchmoreinmyabsence, work outyour ownsalvationwithfearandtrembling. Forit isGodwhich workethinyoubothto willandto doof hisgood pleasure. Doall thingswithoutmurmuringsanddisputings: Thatye may beblamelessandharmless, the sonsof God, without rebuke, inthe midstof a crookedandperversenation, amongwhomye shineaslightsinthe world; Holding forththe wordof life; thatImay rejoiceinthe dayof Christ, thatI have notruninvain, neitherlaboredinvain. Yea, and ifI be offereduponthesacrificeandserviceof yourfaith, I joy, andrejoice withyouall. For thesame causealsodo yejoy, andrejoice withme. ButI trustinthe LordJesusto sendTimothyshortlyunto you, thatI alsomay be of good comfort, when I knowyour state. ForI haveno manlikeminded, whowill naturallycarefor your state. Forallseektheir own, notthe thingswhich are JesusChrist's. Butye knowtheproofof him, that, asa sonwith the father, he hath servedwithmeinthegospel. HimthereforeI hopeto sendpresently, so soon asI shall seehow it will go withme. ButI trustinthe LordthatI alsomyselfshall comeshortly. YetI supposedit necessaryto sendtoyouEpaphroditus, mybrother, andcompanion in labor, andfellow soldier, butyourmessenger, andhe that ministeredto mywants. Forhe longed afteryouall, andwas full of heaviness, becausethat ye had heardthathe had been sick. Forindeedhe was sicknigh untodeath: butGodhad mercyon him; andnoton himonly, buton mealso, lestI should havesorrowuponsorrow. I senthimthereforethe more carefully, that, when ye seehimagain, ye may rejoice, and that Imay bethe less sorrowful. Receivehimthereforeinthe Lordwithallgladness; andholdsuchin reputation: Becausefortheworkof Christhe was nighuntodeath, not regardinghis life, tosupplyyourlackof servicetowardme.
