At the endof every sevenyearsthou shalt makea release. And this is the mannerof the release: Everycreditorthatlendeth aught unto his neighborshall release it ; he shall notexact it of his neighbor, or of his brother; becauseit is calledthe LORD's release. Of a foreignerthou mayest exact it again : but that whichisthine withthy brotherthine handshall release; Savewhenthere shall benopooramong you; forthe LORDshall greatly blessthee in the landwhichthe LORDthy Godgiveththee for an inheritanceto possessit: Onlyifthou carefully hearkenunto the voiceof the LORDthy God, to observeto doallthesecommandmentswhichIcommandthee this day. Forthe LORDthy Godblesseththee, ashe promisedthee: and thou shalt lendunto manynations, but thoushalt notborrow; and thou shalt reignover manynations, but they shall notreignover thee. Ifthere beamong you a poor manof oneof thy brethrenwithin anyof thy gatesin thy landwhichthe LORDthy Godgiveththee, thou shalt nothardenthine heart, norshutthine handfrom thy poorbrother: Butthou shalt openthine handwideunto him, and shalt surely lendhim sufficientfor his need, in that whichhe wanteth. Bewarethatthere benot a thoughtinthy wickedheart, saying, The seventhyear, the yearof release, is at hand; and thine eyebe evilagainst thy poorbrother, and thou givesthim naught; and he cryuntothe LORDagainstthee, and it besinunto thee. Thou shalt surely givehim, and thine heartshall notbe grievedwhen thou givestunto him: because thatforthisthingthe LORDthy Godshall blessthee in allthy works, and in allthat thou puttestthine handunto. Forthe poorshall neverceaseout ofthe land: thereforeIcommandthee, saying, Thou shalt openthine handwideunto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. And ifthy brother, a Hebrew man, ora Hebrew woman, be soldunto thee, and servethee sixyears; then in the seventhyearthou shalt let him gofreefromthee. And whenthou sendest him outfreefromthee, thou shalt notlet him go awayempty: Thou shalt furnish him liberallyout of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewiththe LORDthy Godhath blessedthee thou shalt giveunto him. And thou shalt rememberthatthou wasta bondmanin the landof Egypt, and the LORDthy Godredeemedthee: thereforeIcommandthee thisthingtoday. And it shall be, ifhe sayuntothee, I will notgo awayfromthee; becausehe loveththee and thine house, becausehe is wellwiththee; Then thou shalt takean awl, and thrust it through his earunto the door, and he shall bethy servantforever. And alsounto thy maidservantthou shalt dolikewise. It shall notseem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him awayfreefromthee; forhe hath been wortha doublehired servant to thee , in servingthee sixyears: and the LORDthy Godshall blessthee in allthatthou doest. Allthe firstlingmalesthatcomeof thy herdand of thy flockthou shalt sanctifyunto the LORDthy God: thou shalt do noworkwith the firstlingof thy bullock, norshearthe firstlingof thy sheep. Thou shalt eat it beforethe LORDthy Godyearby yearin the placewhichthe LORDshall choose, thouand thy household. And ifthere be any blemishtherein, as if it be lame, orblind, or have anyillblemish, thou shalt notsacrificeit unto the LORDthy God. Thou shalt eatit within thy gates: the uncleanand the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart. Onlythou shalt noteatthe bloodthereof; thou shalt pourit uponthe groundas water.
