Beye followersof me, even asI also am of Christ. NowI praiseyou, brethren, thatye remembermein all things, andkeeptheordinances, asI delivered them to you. ButI wouldhave youknow, thattheheadof everymanisChrist; andthe headof the woman is theman; andthe headof Christ is God. Everymanprayingorprophesying, having his head covered, dishonorethhishead. Buteverywomanthat prayethorprophesiethwith her headuncovereddishonorethherhead: forthat iseven all oneas if she were shaven. Forifthewomanbe notcovered, let her alsobe shorn: butifit be a shamefor a womanto be shornorshaven, let her be covered. Fora manindeedoughtnotto cover his head, forasmuch as he isthe imageandgloryof God: butthe womanisthe gloryof the man. Forthe manisnotofthe woman; butthe womanofthe man. Neitherwas the mancreatedforthewoman; butthe womanfortheman. For this causeoughtthewomanto havepoweron her headbecauseof theangels. Neverthelessneitheris the manwithoutthe woman, neitherthe womanwithoutthe man, inthe Lord. Forasthewoman is oftheman, even so is themanalsobythewoman; butall thingsofGod. Judgeinyourselves: isit comelythat a womanprayunto Goduncovered? Dothnot evennatureitselfteachyou, that, ifa manhave long hair, it isa shameunto him? Butifa womanhave long hair, it isa gloryto her: for her hairis givenherfora covering. Butifany manseemto becontentious, wehavenosuchcustom, neitherthechurchesof God. Nowin thisthat I declare unto you I praise you not, thatye come togethernotforthebetter, butfortheworse. Forfirst of all, whenyecome togetherinthechurch, I hearthat there bedivisionsamongyou; andI partlybelieveit. Forthere mustbealsoheresiesamongyou, thatthey which are approvedmay be mademanifestamongyou. When yecome togetherthereforeintoone place, this isnotto eatthe Lord's supper. Forineatingevery onetaketh before other his ownsupper: andoneis hungry, andanotheris drunken. What? haveye nothousesto eatandto drinkin? ordespiseye thechurchof God, andshamethem that havenot? Whatshall I sayto you? shall I praiseyouinthis? I praise you not. ForIhave receivedoftheLordthat whichalsoI deliveredunto you, ThattheLordJesusthe same nightin whichhe was betrayedtookbread: Andwhen he had given thanks, he broke it, andsaid, Take, eat: thisismybody, which is brokenforyou: thisdoinremembrance of me. Afterthe same manneralso he took thecup, when he had supped, saying, Thiscupisthenewtestamentinmyblood: thisdo ye, as oft as ye drink it, inremembrance of me. Foras often asye eatthisbread, anddrinkthiscup, ye do showtheLord's deathtillhe come. Whereforewhosoevershall eatthisbread, anddrink this cupof theLord, unworthily, shall beguiltyof thebodyandbloodof theLord. Butlet a manexaminehimself, andsolet him eatof that bread, anddrinkof that cup. Forhe that eatethanddrinkethunworthily, eatethanddrinkethdamnationto himself, notdiscerningtheLord's body. For this causemany are weakandsicklyamongyou, andmanysleep. Forifwe would judgeourselves, we should notbe judged. Butwhen we are judged, we are chastenedofthe Lord, thatwe should notbe condemnedwiththeworld. Wherefore, mybrethren, when ye come togetherto eat, tarryone for another. Andifany manhunger, let him eatathome; thatye come not togetheruntocondemnation. Andtherestwill I set in orderwhenI come.
