ThensaidJesusuntothem, I will askyou one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to savelife, or to destroy it ? Andlooking round about uponthemall, he saidunto theman, Stretch forththyhand. Andhedidso: andhishandwas restoredwholeastheother. Blessed are ye that hungernow: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weepnow: for ye shall laugh. Blessedare ye, whenmen shall hateyou, andwhen they shall separateyou from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast outyournameasevil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye inthatday, and leap for joy: for, behold, yourreward is greatinheaven: for in the like mannerdidtheirfathers unto theprophets. Woe unto you, whenallmen shall speakwell of you! forsodidtheirfathers to the false prophets. But I say unto you which hear, Loveyourenemies, dogood to them which hateyou, Bless them that curseyou, andprayfor them which despitefully useyou. And unto him that smiteththeeonthe one cheekofferalsotheother; and him that taketh awaythycloakforbidnot to take thy coatalso. Give to every man that asketh of thee; andof him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. Andas ye wouldthatmen should do to you, doyealso to themlikewise. Forif ye love them which loveyou, whatthankhaveye? forsinnersalsolove those that lovethem. Andif ye do good to them which do good to you, whatthankhaveye? forsinnersalsodoeventhesame. Andif ye lend to them ofwhom ye hope to receive, whatthankhaveye? forsinnersalsolend to sinners, toreceive as much again. For with thesamemeasurethat ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Andhe spakea parableunto them, Can the blindlead the blind? shall they notbothfallinto the ditch? The discipleisnotabovehismaster: but every one that is perfect shall beashismaster. Andwhybeholdest thou themotethat is inthybrother's eye, butperceivestnotthebeamthat is in thine owneye? Eitherhowcanst thou say to thybrother, Brother, let me pull outthemotethat is inthineeye, when thou thyselfbeholdestnotthebeamthat is in thine owneye? Thou hypocrite, cast outfirstthebeam out of thine owneye, andthen shalt thou see clearly to pull outthemotethat is inthybrother's eye. For a goodtree bringeth not forthcorruptfruit; neither doth a corrupttree bring forthgoodfruit. Foreverytree is knownby his ownfruit. Forofthorns men do notgatherfigs, norof a bramble bushgather they grapes. A goodmanout of thegoodtreasure of hisheart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evilmanout of theeviltreasure of hisheart bringeth forth that which is evil: foroftheabundance of thehearthismouthspeaketh. Andwhycall ye me, Lord, Lord, anddonot the things which I say? Whosoevercomethtome, andhearethmysayings, anddoeththem, I will showyou to whom he islike: He islike a man which built a house, anddiggeddeep, andlaid the foundationon a rock: and when the floodarose, thestream beat vehemently uponthathouse, andcouldnotshakeit: for it was foundedupon a rock. But he that heareth, anddoethnot, islike a man that without a foundationbuilt a houseupontheearth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, andimmediately it fell; andtheruin of thathousewasgreat.
