Andtheruler of the synagogueansweredwith indignation, becausethat Jesushad healedon thesabbath day, and saidunto thepeople, There aresixdaysinwhichmen oughtto work: inthemthereforecomeandbe healed, andnoton thesabbathday. TheLordthenansweredhim, andsaid, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on thesabbathloosehisoxor his assfromthestall, and lead him away to watering? Andoughtnot this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whomSatan hath bound, lo, these eighteenyears, be loosedfromthisbond on thesabbathday? Andwhen hehad saidthese things, allhisadversarieswere ashamed: andallthepeoplerejoicedforalltheglorious thingsthat were donebyhim. Thensaidhe, Unto whatisthekingdom of Godlike? andwhereunto shall I resembleit? It islike a grain of mustard seed, which a mantook, and castintohisgarden; and it grew, andwaxed a greattree; andthefowls of theairlodgedinthebranches of it. Andagainhe said, Whereunto shall I likenthekingdom of God? It islikeleaven, which a womantook and hidinthreemeasures of meal, till the whole was leavened. And they shall comefrom the east, and from the west, andfrom the north, and from the south, and shall sit downinthekingdomof God. And, behold, there arelastwhich shall befirst, and there arefirstwhich shall belast. Thesamedaythere camecertainof the Pharisees, sayingunto him, Get thee out, anddeparthence: forHerodwillkillthee. Andhe saidunto them, Go ye, and tellthatfox, Behold, I cast outdevils, and I docurestodayandtomorrow, andthethird day I shall be perfected. NeverthelessImustwalktoday, andtomorrow, andthe day following: for it cannot be that a prophetperishout of Jerusalem. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killesttheprophets, andstonest them that are sentuntothee; how oftenwould I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather herbroodunder her wings, and ye wouldnot! Behold, yourhouse is left unto youdesolate: andverily I say unto you, Ye shall notseeme, until the time comewhen ye shall say, Blessed is he that comethin the name of the Lord.
