AndJesuscalleda little childunto him, andsethiminthe midstof them, Andsaid, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, andbecomeas little children, ye shall notenterintothekingdom of heaven. Whosoevertherefore shall humblehimselfasthis little child, the sameisgreatestinthekingdom of heaven. Andwhoso shall receiveonesuch little childinmynamereceivethme. Butwhoso shall offendone of these little ones which believeinme, it were better for himthat a millstone were hangedabouthisneck, and that he were drownedinthedepth of thesea. Woe unto theworld because of offenses! for it must needs be that offensescome; butwoe to thatmanbywhomtheoffensecometh! Whereforeifthyhandorthyfootoffendthee, cut them off, andcast them fromthee: it isbetter for thee to enterintolifehaltormaimed, rather thanhavingtwohandsortwofeet to be castintoeverlastingfire. Andifthineeyeoffendthee, pluck it out, andcast it fromthee: it isbetter for thee to enterintolife with one eye, rather than havingtwoeyes to be castintohellfire. Take heed that ye despisenotone of these little ones; for I say unto you, Thatinheaventheirangels do alwaysbeholdtheface of myFatherwhich is inheaven. FortheSon of man is come to save that which was lost. Howthinkye? ifamanhave a hundredsheep, andoneofthem be gone astray, doth he notleavethe ninety and nine, and goethintothemountains, andseeketh that which is gone astray? Andif so be that he findit, verily I say unto you, herejoicethmoreofthat sheep, thanofthe ninety and nine which went not astray. Jesussaithunto him, I saynot unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy timesseven. Therefore is thekingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, whichwouldtakeaccountofhisservants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousandtalents. But forasmuch as hehadnot to pay, hislordcommandedhim to be sold, andhiswife, andchildren, andall that hehad, and payment to be made. Theservanttherefore fell down, and worshipedhim, saying, Lord, have patiencewithme, and I will paytheeall. Thenthelord of thatservant was moved with compassion and loosedhim, andforgavehimthedebt. Butthesameservant went out, and foundone of his fellow servants, whichowedhim a hundredpence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Paymethat thou owest. Andhisfellowservant fell downathisfeet, and besoughthim, saying, Have patiencewithme, and I will paytheeall. Andhewouldnot: butwent and casthimintoprison, till he should paythedebt. So when hisfellowservantssaw what was done, they were very sorry, andcame and told unto theirlordall that was done. Thenhislord, after that he had calledhim, said unto him, O thou wickedservant, I forgavetheeallthatdebt, because thou desiredstme: Shouldestnotthoualso have had compassion on thy fellow servant, evenasI had pity on thee? Andhislord was wroth, and deliveredhim to thetormentors, tillhe should payall that was due unto him. So likewise shall myheavenlyFatherdoalso unto you, if ye fromyourheartsforgivenot every onehisbrothertheirtrespasses.
