O ye hypocrites, ye candiscerntheface of thesky; butcan ye not discern thesigns of thetimes? A wickedandadulterousgeneration seeketh after a sign; and there shall nosign be given unto it, butthesign of theprophetJonah. Andhe leftthem, and departed. Andwhen hisdiscipleswere cometotheother side, they had forgottento takebread. ThenJesussaidunto them, Take heedandbewareoftheleaven of thePhariseesand of the Sadducees. Andtheyreasonedamongthemselves, saying, It is becausewe have takennobread. Which whenJesusperceived, he saidunto them, O ye of little faith, whyreason ye amongyourselves, because ye have broughtnobread? Do ye not yetunderstand, neitherrememberthefiveloaves of the five thousand, and how manybaskets ye took up? Neitherthesevenloaves of the four thousand, and how manybaskets ye took up? How is it that ye do notunderstandthat I spake it not to youconcerningbread, that ye should bewareoftheleaven of thePhariseesand of the Sadducees? Thenunderstoodthey howthat he bade them notbewareoftheleavenof bread, butofthedoctrineof thePhariseesandof the Sadducees. WhenJesuscameintothecoastsof CaesareaPhilippi, he askedhisdisciples, saying, Whom do mensay that ItheSon of manam? Andtheysaid, Somesay that thou art JohntheBaptist: some, Elijah; andothers, Jeremiah, oroneof theprophets. He saithunto them, Butwhomsayye that Iam?
